A HITCH IN THE PLAN

"all right people let's get ready, we have 10 minutes before we set out for the class if we want to be able to set up camp before sundown" I don't know if it was intentional but Mr Monroe sounded so convincing about the making camp before sundown that I almost felt that he had forgotten the plan to escape.

"make sure you carry a big bag and a lot of supplies" he shouted with the megaphone in his hand.

"why should we pack so much stuff to go on this trip" curry asked as he sat on his travel bag attempting to tie it so that it could be better secured.

"because we don't know if the fun we will be having will be so much fun that we will have to stay some extra days!"

Smart response.

We have to be careful at all times to be sure that we do not even give these guys an idea of what we were doing or rather about to do.

There were venators everywhere or anywhere at any time so we couldn't afford to draw unnecessary attention to ourselves and our movement.

"alright people, let's get packed up, we gotta move" Mr Monroe said as he clapped towards the students who were now putting on their adventure bags. I don't know for sure but I am pretty sure that we looked like Israelites when they were prepping to leave Egypt.

The only difference is that we were planning to sneak out Egypt not just leave. The grunting of students, sounds of boot straps, the dragging of feet and the sounds of belt buckles definitely set this one apart from its predecessor

We assembled at the main stage in readiness for our departure. People were still coming out of their tents to join us so I guess we were just waiting to be sure that we had all left together.

"i cant believe that Wendy is actually coming out with a handbag for this sort of thing" Danny said as he rolled his eyes.

I turned over to the direction that Danny was facing..... unbelievably but not unexpectedly, Wendy was actually carrying a fancy handbag.

"i wonder how many stuff she put into that" I wondered out loud

"nah...…..that's where Yui comes in" Danny used his eyes to point behind Wendy where she stood looking around like she had to be careful what oxygen blew past her.

Yui stood with her bags and I mean BAGS!!

Yui is Wendy's new boyfriend and actually the longest lasting boyfriend she has had. Some might even think she actually loves the guy. The guy is a well built, tall and undeniably handsome half American and half Chinese guy. He's the same age as I am, so he's about 18 years old.

The guy is the son of a rich man who has some kind of high position in the Toyota automobile company and thus his custom built garage of cars.

That seems to be the reason this queen bee is catching a ride with him.

The guy turned towards me and somehow we made eye contact with each other.

"hey whats up" Yui mouthed as he threw a salute in our direction.

"hey, we've talked about this" Wendy said as she took off her shades and turned towards him with a stern face.

"we don't greet or associate ourselves with anyone with less than 20k followers on the gram"

"but they are really nice guys though"

"that's not what Instagram says about them"

She wore her shades and turned forward almost like we didn't exist.

"sometimes I wonder to myself how she got herself such a nice and chill guy?" jayjay said obviously wondering

To be very honest, I wondered the very same thing constantly. How did someone as high and haughty as Wendy get hooked up with a guy like Yui. The only possible thing I had as a reason in mind: SHE LOVED THIS GUY FOR SURE!!!

"Alright guys listen up" Mr Monroe said from the center of where used to be the stage.

"we are going to be having some classes for the span of three days in the wild. We will also have a set of games that we will be playing for fun and to test how much you guys have learned." Mr Monroe explained.

"so are you guys all ready for the trip cus we are about top become one with the nature."

He had so much energy in his tone that I almost forgot that a good amount of what he was saying would not happen in real life. It was all part of the plan.

We were actually going to have the classes and all but we would not finish the three days there before we informed them of the actual plan so we can begin our escape.

"alright guys lets move out"

Mr Monroe was met almost immediately after by one of Mr Ahmed's workers and something was whispered into his ears. I couldn't hear but I clearly saw his eyes widen before they began exchanging words.

"what's going on" Eva asked.

"i have no idea" I replied from where I stood rooted to the ground.

I was debating within myself on what to do. Should I approach them or should I just wait for Mr Monroe to do his thing.

"hey Danny" I called as I turned to face him.

"I'm on it" he replied as he squeezed his eyelids. Danny has a special gift since he was just a kid to read the lips of people in a conversation. He can do it to people from any age range but the clarity or the dependability of the results greatly depended on how still they were standing and how far they were from him.

"alright I am not sure exactly"

"But I think.....the man wants some people to follow us into the wild on our expedition"

That wasn't good.

"keep me posted"

"well...… Mr Monroe tells them that there is no need for it and they would be good on their own"

"And?" jayjay asked

"he isn't buying it…"

"the man says it's either we allow some personnel to follow us or we asked some of the students to put on trackers" Danny's eyes were wide open and in awe
