Chapter 65

"Are you sure it is appropriate for me to follow you on the date?" Rose asked Luna as they waited for a taxi to pick them up to their stand. Normally they would stroll there but they couldn't that dressed this way.

"Yes, he said you could."

"I am sure he only said that so you could be at ease about his intentions," Rose replied shaking her head in disbelief of how naïve her friend was behaving right now. She didn't know if she was truly naive or just pretending to be naïve to the fact that this man was interested in her and it seemed it was more than a sexual interest, "but you being you, i am sure you decided to take me along either ways."

"I am just being safe," Luna replied. She had not been on a proper date before especially with a stranger.

"Does he have a cute friend or maybe a cute brother or cousin?" Rose asked her bringing out the small mirror in her purse to check her make up, Luna tried to take a quick peep but Rose beat her to it by putting her mirror back into her purse.

"This is so silly," Luna fumed frustrated by not being able to see what Rose had done to her face.

A black car parked in front of them as the back window opened slowly as Gonzales stared at her and Rose.

"Get in," he said. Rose immediately took the front seat while Luna moved to the other side and took the seat next to Gonzales.

"You look beautiful," Gonzales said as she settled in.

"Thank you," she stuttered staring straight ahead and not at him. She didn't know why but for some reason she suddenly felt her heart beating rapidly than normal as her hand found the side of her gown holding on to it tightly.

"You should breathe more," Gonzales teased noticing how tensed she was beside him. He wondered who did her make up, he had not imagined to see her on one but regardless she looked really beautiful and the velvet gown looked really good and fit in the right places as his stylist had told him.

He had been skeptical about getting her a gown without actually consulting her about her size but his stylist had told him to give him a detailed description of the woman in question and even while giving the details, he was baffled at how much he knew about her body and all her curves.

Luna stared at him this time with a timid smile as she took in a deep breathe, she stared at Rose who seemed occupied with looking at herself in the mirror over and over again like she had plans of her own that didn't involve her being the third wheel.

It didn't take long for them to get to the restaurant, the driver parked the car rushed out and opened the door for her, she bowed her head to him and muttered thank you while Rose sat down waiting patiently for the driver to come and open her side of the door as well which he did when he noticed the young lady hadn't gotten out.

"May i?" Gonzales asked stretching out his hands to Luna for her to take it. She stared at his hand and then raised her head to look at him as her lips opened in astonishment, he was quite taller than she imagined him to be. She had not seen him standing, he was always sited in his car smirking at her and asking her awkward questions at some point she had thought maybe he was average height or maybe short or worst he couldn't work.

Not that height mattered to her that much, as long as he was a good man she wouldn't mind the height but not too short she had reminded herself.

She felt Rose nudging her to take his hand already, as she regained her composure and took his hand. He smirked at her and held on to her firmly as they walked into the restaurant with Rose following behind.

They briefly stopped at the entrance while one of the waitress skimmed through the list of reserved seats for their names as she motioned them to their seat after marking their name on the list.

Gonzales took his seat while Luna and Rose sat opposite him, he signals the waiter to come closer as he whispers their order into his ear while his eyes remained glued on Luna.

"Alright Sir," the waiter nodded leaving them alone.

"Thirsty?" Gonzales asked taking the jug of water on the table and pouring it into the glass cup on the table, he handed it to Luna as she collected it with shaking hands nodding at him in sign of appreciation. She took a sip slowly looking around the restaurant, as she noticed that no one was here just the three of them.

Was this intentionally or did they arrive early to the event? They couldn't have been early, Gonzales certainly had something to do with them being here all alone.

"So do you want to fuck my friend or date her?" Rose blurted out as Luna eye opened as she nearly choked on the water, she coughed out dropping the glass cup down. This shameless brat couldn't she figure out a way to ask that question without being too direct with it and for heaven sake the person in question was sitting right next to her.

Luna stared at Gonzales hoping he didn't feel offended by the question but even she wanted to know what his answer was to the question, she had planned to ask him later on but not in the manner which Rose had just put it.

"Both," Gonzales replied staring at the two ladies.

...................................................................................

"Sir," Gonzales heard has he stared at Gustavo, he was getting ready to leave his office to meet up with them already.

"Are they settled?"

"The young miss seems to be poisoned."

"Poisoned?" Gonzales questioned wondering how that had happened in such a short period of time, he thought Stephan was doing a good job protecting her but it seemed his enemies were getting closer each day. "Get our nurse immediately."

"Yes Sir," Gustavo nodded his head taking his leave as he bumped into Maya.

"Watch your fucking steps, idiot," Maya yelled at him popping her gum in his face.

"Apologizes," Gustavo bowed his head as he took his leave.

"Language young lady," Gonzales warned but he knew his warning was of no use but over the years he had gotten used to it in hopes that she would change a bit, he loved her spirit but her ways of going about things was something he wasn't sure he liked. It was liked she had taken all his characters and only the face of her mother. He sometimes wished she would be like Luna.

"Oh please, why the fuck is my car not in the garage," Maya nagged. "I have said it a thousand times that i don't want anyone touching my car for any fucking reason."

"Maya, this is the last thing i need right now, there are a lot of cars in the garage and you are permitted to take anyone of your choice," Gonzales reminded her since she seemed to be forgetting that she was entitled to his things. "I told the mechanic to do a little touch up on your car, like the paint and the engine."

"oh," she muttered taking her seat, she took the apple from the bowl of fruit in front of her and took a big bite crossing her legs. "Well i should always be informed about things like this."

"Of course," Gonzales sighed at the thought that Maya might have already done something to one of his men, even though he had not given her full control of the mansion she seemed more in control than him. "I have something to discuss with you that might be a little bit...."

"Stephan Klar is here with my lookalike," Maya cut in taking another bite from the apple.

Gonzales stared at her as he took his seat, he had thought he would have to explain in details to her that her twin sister was here and that her mother had separated them when they were younger but it seemed Maya was way ahead of him as usual, he wondered how long she had known about it or maybe she had been eavesdropping on his conversation earlier in the day.

"I listened in on your conversation," Maya replied admitting that his thoughts were true.

"She has been poisoned but i am sure she will be fine once our nurse exams her."

"Of course she is in safe hands, for the main time," Maya replied.

"I know this is surprising to you as it is to me but i want you to understand that..."

"You should know that i do not give two fucks about this lady and i will very much appreciate it if you leave it as that."
