Mafia (Riri Williams IV) Part 5

As it had gotten dark, I tell Laura to help Riri settle into a room.

The girl complies and leads Riri away, leaving me with Jessica in the living room.

"So what's going on?" Jessica asks me.

When she asked me that question, I told her everything that happened to little Riri.

When I finished speaking, Jessica was upset.

"That bastard Kingpin, I've heard of him, he's very famous in the underworld. I know he's a very mysterious mafia leader because nobody knows who he is, but the guy isn't nice, it's been heard that he's cruel to his enemies, you must be careful"

Hearing her words, I didn't say anything, from the knowledge of the comics I already knew his true identity.

As for Zebediah Killgrave, I didn't tell Jessica about him.

I knew that Jessica doesn't know him yet, so that's the way it should be, since I'll personally take care of the manipulative purple bastard.

At midnight, after my nightly activities with Jessica, I get out of bed without waking her up. Upon reaching the living room I take out the Lizard Serum and without hesitation I inject it.

Seconds later I felt it. Accompanied by intense pain, I feel how my cells adapt the serum to improve my body.

After a few minutes of pain, I calm down and settle into a seat. Clenching my fists I felt it, the great increase in strength and how my cells seem stronger.

I feel like I can easily lift three times the weight I could before.

Taking out a small dagger I make a small cut on my index finger, when the wound begins to bleed, I observe that at an absurd speed it closes and heals completely.

I was surprised, this ability adds another way to protect my life. I also noticed that my Spider-Sense has improved, I don't know how but that's how I feel...

Another thing is that I have become sensitive to changes in temperature, like feeling heat signatures.

After I finish analyzing my changes, I look at my 'Imagine Breaker'. I already consider my regeneration an ability but my right hand doesn't react, it's strange but I accept it.

Why do I accept it so easily?

Well, it's simple, it benefits me so that's fine.

After meditating a bit to help me get a grip on my newfound strength, I return to bed to sleep, hugging Jessica of course.

I didn't know that my new enemies were making plans to capture Riri.
