Mafia (Riri Williams I) Part 2

Minutes Before

Laura Kinney POV

Alex told me to wait for him in this restaurant while he took care of something. I decided to listen to him.

While I am eating quietly, something caught my attention, looking outside the restaurant I saw a girl of my age running while is being chased by three men.

Without thinking too much I get up and follow them, I know that by doing this I will break the promise I made to Alex to wait for his arrival.

But I know he will understand, since I am going to save someone, just like he saved me.

Chasing these people, I reach an alley and hear one of the men say:

"We finally found you girl, you've caused a lot of trouble but once we deliver you to the boss, he will reward us"

"You're right" says the man who holds the girl

"What's so special about this girl?" curious asks the last man.

"Haven't you heard? It is said that this girl is good with technology, recently a member of our group saw her in an abandoned place using a weapon similar to the Iron Man" says the man who seemed to be the leader.

"Really?" the man asks astonished.

"Yes, and although that weapon she made was crude, the man who discovered her reported to the boss, that he seemed very interested and gave the order to capture her"

While they were talking, the girl bites the man's hand, who release her due to the pain.

"You won't catch me, fools" the girl said as she tried to run, only to fail as another of the men caught her.

Since the girl looks in trouble, I show myself and say:

"Let her go or you'll regret it"

My voice startles them and they look in my direction. But when they did it, the men seemed relieved and the girl only despaired.

"Girl, this is none of your business, get lost" says one of the men trying to get me out of his way.

Seeing his actions, I now understand what Alex is trying to teach me by telling me...

Strike First, Ask Questions Later

So without wasting time, I attack at high speed releasing my claws. I run to the man in front of me who was surprised and I pierce his shoulder with my claws causing him to fall to the ground while screaming in pain. Once on the ground, I kick him in the face which knocks him unconscious.

And without giving them time, I also knocked out the other two.

I don't kill them, because Alex told me not to do it very often.

When I finish knocking down the men, I turned to look at the girl, who was looking at me with bright eyes and an excited smile.

The girl asks me:

"You are great and strong, thanks for helping me, my name is Riri Williams, what is your name?"

I was going to answer her, when I realized that I took too long and that Alex would worry, I grab her hand and take her with me to the restaurant without listening to her complaints.

When I am about to arrive, I realize that Alex had already arrived, so I rush to where he is to tell him that I helped someone.

I'm sure he'll be proud of me.
