Alex's group is currently on their way to New York to participate in the United Nations meeting.

The meeting will start at noon and will last three days in which different political, economic and health issues will be addressed.

In the Jet

The trip will take about two hours so they still have plenty of time to prepare.

Alex is looking at Jane with a wry smile on his face.

She does not go to participate in the meeting but to see the Avenger of the hammer who has not deigned to see her even for a small greeting.

"That bastard... not even a visit, I'll beat the crap out of him" a furious Jane muttered.

"Hehehe, don't worry Jane, with our leader here, Thor will get what he deserves" Darcy said with a smug look.

Alex rolls his eyes at Darcy's words.

He is not nosy enough to get involved in Jane's romantic affairs, but she has his support.

"Hmph, if he doesn't give me a good explanation, there's going to be trouble" Jane Foster said with a snort.

"You must use a dagger. I have heard that men have a great weakness between the legs, if you attack him there he will surely give up easily" Mantis said innocently, not knowing that her words surprised everyone in the Jet.

The faces of the women present turn black.

And Alex, as the only man present on the Jet, felt a chill and his face shows horror as he looks at Mantis as the most dangerous creature in the universe.

"That's right, Mantis. There's no mercy for men who don't pamper their women" Darcy said, adding fuel to the fire and throwing defiant glances at Alex.

Mantis also looks curiously at Alex seeing that Darcy is looking at him.

Alex jumps in fright and breaks out in a cold sweat as he feels Mantis's innocent gaze.

"Don't talk nonsense, Darcy. And Mantis, who taught you that?" frowning, Jane admonished Darcy as she questioned Mantis.

"It was Gamora, she taught me how to defeat a man with great ease using that technique" Mantis said confused as she didn't find anything wrong with her words.

Alex patted his forehead when he knew who was the culprit.

He knew that during Gamora's time on Genosha she had befriended Mantis and they even practiced together.

Well, it was kind of obvious.

One was the most dangerous woman in the universe and the other was a master of martial arts and assassination techniques, so they complemented each other very well.

After all.

One was trained by Thanos.

And the other by Kree experts.

They got along so well that Gamora wanted Mantis to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.

But Mantis turned her down saying that her duty was to protect Alex and that she couldn't leave.

That moved Alex a lot.

Jane began to educate Mantis on what to say and what not to say, while Darcy just looked at that with an amused look.

Meanwhile, Alex just shook his head amused at the current situation, but at that moment he felt someone lean on his shoulder.

Looking at who it was, he saw that it was Laura.

Seeing her peaceful face as she slept, Alex showed an affectionate smile and, with his free hand and without disturbing her sleep, he gently stroked her hair.

The little girl had grown a lot and had become a beautiful young woman.

For Alex, Laura occupies an important space in his heart and he knew the deep feelings that she developed for him.

But they had to wait, since he was not a bastard who would mess with a minor, at least she should be 20 years old.

And until that happens, he will treat her as he always has.

The other people on the Jet also noticed the harmonious moment between Alex and Laura, but they didn't interrupt them and they were sensible.

Maya Hansen just gave a small smile.

She had already talked to Alex about this topic, so she was not confused by the type of relationship they will develop in the future.

Alex's group was not the only one to arrive.

Representatives from different countries had also arrived.

She seemed to sense his gaze as she smiled softly at him giving him a flirtatious look.
