Alex Wayne POV

Two days later

After putting an end to the problems around the mutant children, I return to New York with Laura to visit Sarah Kinney's grave.

Jessica had kept her word and found her a good resting place.

Speaking of Jessica, that woman really is wild, as soon as I visited her, she dragged me to her bedroom but first, I had to keep Laura busy so she wouldn't interrupt us hehehe.

Well, getting back on topic, Laura and I bought flowers and headed to the cemetery.

On the way to the place, Laura, who was silent, asks me:

"Will mom be happy?"

When I hear her words, I pat her head and say:

"Yes, I'm sure, since her greatest wish was for you to be happy"

Laura just nods her head.

When we are about to reach the grave, I say to her:

"Since we're going to see her, why don't you tell her how you feel now? I'm sure she'll be happy"

"Okay, I'll tell her" says Laura.

After placing the flowers on Sarah's grave, I sit on a nearby bench as I watch Laura tell her mother how she feels now.

Seeing how the girl talks to her mother with tears, makes me sigh.

"She finally shows a little of her emotions" I mumble in a low voice.

I knew that the girl feels that she does not deserve to be happy, because of how those bastards treated her but Sarah showed her otherwise, that is why her death marked her and now that everything is over, she is only releasing her grief.

As I was deep in thought, someone sits next to me.

I ignore that person.

He doesn't get upset, but starts talking.

"You caused quite a ruckus in Washington"

"I had to do it, otherwise those bastards wouldn't stop" I reply.

"You're right, since some army men were involved, they're afraid you're going after them" says the man.

"Why bother, when you are more than enough to put pressure on them, right Fury?"

The man identified as Fury says no more and hands me a folder.

After receiving the folder, I look at him.

Sensing my gaze, he replies:

"In that folder there are two documents, one is the information you asked me about General William Stryker"

Listening to his words, I take out the document. Reading that guy's information, now I know he was also involved.

When I finish reading, Fury says now:

"The second is something of mine, I want you to be part of a group that I'm thinking of creating, it's more of an initiative at the moment"

Hearing his words, I was surprised and before I could respond, he continues saying:

"It's called... The Avengers Initiative"
