Help her

Last night...

Raymond entered the black car and drove off. He thought of heading home first, but decided against it and manoeuvred his car in another direction

Axel worked late that night and was surprised when one of the men he had stationed at the entrance of his villa, came to him and told him that he had a visitor. Who could it be? He thought. He knew for sure that it wasn't one of his family members as he would have somehow gotten a whiff about their arrival.

When he came to the living room to find out who this visitor was, he caught sight of a lean and tall man helping himself at the bar. 'This is one rude visitor'. He thought as he took long strides to the bar and sat on the opposite seat in front of the man and poured himself a glass of wine. When the man turned his head, Axel's eyes widened in both shock and surprise. He couldn't believe that this person was at his home. Axel knew the man so well even though he didn't show his face to the public. Axel has tried everything he could to get a chance to cooperate with him, but he was never given an audience, even with the status of his company in the city.

Raymond Young, the CEO of Young corporation, the largest corporation in the city, was seated in his house, at this time of the night. No matter how much he thought about it, Axel didn't find a sensible reason as to why Raymond was here.

"Good evening Mr Young" Axel greeted but Raymond continued twirling the glass in his hand, making the liquid inside swirl. "What brings you here at this hour of the night?"

Axel asked again after being ignored the first time.

Finally, after some minutes, Raymond tore his gaze from the glass and turned his head to meet Axel's eyes. "I heard you have been trying to get an audience with me for a long time". He paused and looked back at the wine glass. "I want us to work together, our companies, I mean". Axel couldn't believe what he was hearing. He felt like he was dreaming. A few months ago, he had trouble getting to talk with Raymond Young, and now, Raymond was at his house, with a proposal for a possible contract between their companies.

But why though? Axel thought. All of a sudden, Raymond appears in his house and wants them to work together. He knew that Raymond wanted something from him, but what could it be?

Raymond turned his head back to Axel and spoke, " I need your help with something". Axel wasn't surprised, he could tell from the beginning that Raymond wanted something from him, or else he wouldn't have come to his house by this time. "What could that be Mr Young?" He asked Raymond and took a sip from his glass.

"Your new personal Secretary," Raymond began, and Axel's eyes widened. How did Raymond know about this? Could there be a spy in his company? Or maybe the girl had tried to kill him too. "What about her?" Axel asked. He still needed her with him, he was not done with her and he didn't want to let her go. At least not now.

"I want you to help her". Axel was surprised this time. It seems this evening was going to be filled with surprises. When he thought about what Raymond said, Axel creased his brow. How was he supposed to help the person who tried to kill him? But then again, what was he supposed to help her with? He had kept her as his secretary to help him find someone, so why was Raymond asking him to help her?

"What do you mean?" Axel asked. Somewhere deep inside him, he had a feeling that Raymond knew that that girl attempted to murder him. And he was right.

"I know that she tried to murder you", Raymond began, "I want you to forget about that and be assured that she won't try to kill you, as long as you are still with her Annunciator". Axel's eyes widened when he heard Raymond mention her Annunciator. If Raymond knew about that, it could only mean…. " Are you one of them?" He asked but Raymond only smiled and said, "What do you think?"

Axel couldn't wrap his head around what was happening. He never once thought that Raymond was an assassin. He had his suspicions about Raymond, as he was the CEO of the largest corporation in the city even though he was still so young, he never thought that he was an assassin. He was now all too aware of Raymond's presence in his house. Who knows the kind of weapons he was carrying, and what if he tries to kill him? Axel couldn't stop thinking about the possibilities when Raymond let out a light chuckle, pulling him out of his thoughts. "Don't worry too much, I won't do anything to harm you. I just need you to help Hannah. She is very dear to me, that is why I need you to help her". Axel was confused again. Who on earth says an assassin was dear to him? "What exactly do you want me to help her with?" He asked. Raymond stopped whirling the glass in his hand and turned to speak to the axel. "You don't need to do much. I just want you to treat her like you would any employee, don't see her as a killer. You can give her as much work as you want to, just enough to get her tired at the end of the day. If she makes a mistake or does anything wrong, punish her as you deem fit, but most of all, while she is still working in your company, she is under your care, and I want you to watch over her. If anything happens to her, you will have me deal with it. So just play your part and I will play mine, do we have a deal?"

Axel felt threatened when he heard Raymond's statement. He felt like Raymond was going to kill him if anything happens to Hannah. Looking at the bright side, all he needed to do was to treat Hannah like he would other employees, and if he did that, he would be able to procure a contract with the largest corporation in the city. All he wanted was to make his company powerful, So powerful that no one would be able to go against him. With that, he agreed to Raymond's condition.

"I understand Mr Young, but how can I be sure that you will keep your end of the deal? No offence, but you being an assassin makes me doubt you". Axel spoke and Raymond just smiled. "Don't worry, the papers will be brought to you tomorrow, just do as I have asked, Do we have a deal?" Raymond asked.

"Deal". Axel responded.

With that, Raymond stood up and shook hands with Axel. "I look forward to working with you Mr miller". He said and when their hands separated Raymond turned and left Axel's house without taking a sip from the wine he had poured for himself
