Praise The Sun!

I wanted to hunt the spider today, so I prepared everything and went to the cave at night.

Reaching the cave, I took a deep breath while slowly entering it.

*CRASH*

The spider seemed to be waiting for me. The floor beside me crashed as I dodged the spider's leg.

Following the plan, I started to run. This time, the spider was way faster. It was determined to kill me.

I was very nervous thinking of what could go wrong.

When we left the cave, it was having difficulty following me because of the trees so I slowed a little so that I could serve as bait properly.

We arrived at the place of the trap and I jumped into the hole, the spider looked eager to get into someplace more closed and entered too, but when it entered it was too big and pushed the log supporting the trap. It became stuck in the hole.

I left from the little hole beside the trap and looked at the successful giant bunny trap.

"It wasn't so hard"

I became happy about my victory. I didn't have too much time to celebrate as the logs at the top trembled, the spider was hitting the logs so that it could escape.

I couldn't think of anything more than wait and pray it would last for enough time.

The logs lasted for around forty minutes until a leg pierced them. After the first hole, more started to appear until the whole thing crumbled. I had to think of a way to stop it from returning to the cave.

I picked a spear and threw it at the spider.

"you have to be kidding me" I said while missing terribly and the spider angrily jumped at me.

I avoided the attack and started to run. The spider knew the sun was close and was tired of following me so it didn't chase, instead, it turned and went to the cave.

'The plan is going to fail like this' I started to think of something to stop it.

'I will just go for plan B then' During the twenty-three days, I made some explosives and put them around the cave's entrance. I didn't want to explode it since it seemed a nice place to make a base after killing the spider.

I hurried to the cave. The spider was very fast but it wasn't running, it was trying to find something to eat along the way.

Reaching the cave with no problems, I pierced the bags of explosives and started to run, out of the cave, I looked at the entrance.

*BOOOM*

The cave trembled and the entrance collapsed, the sound was really loud, the spider quickly arrived and stared at the destroyed entrance. It got wild attacking the rocks and trying to dig a hole.

*BOM* *BOM* *BOM* *BOM*

Every attack made a sound of an explosion, the powerful legs crushed the rocks like nothing. Maybe the cave was originally dug by the spider.

'If this continues, she will free the entrance before the sun appears'

I waited for a few minutes and when I could start to see the sunlight, I acted. Taking my spear, I ran to the spider.

"AAAHHHHH!" I screamed to mask my fear. I was scared of fighting the monster head-on. It could kill me easily with a blow or two. The scanner didn't work on it so I could barely see its attacks. I was running to death, but I decided to gamble, I was prepared to risk that I could last at least five minutes.

When I reached the spider, even with my screams, it didn't notice me, it was in hurry to destroy the rocks. I went behind its back and with a thrust of my spear, I pierced its belly.

*SCRIIHHHH* It made a sound so loud my ears hurt. It turned towards me with rage.

I moved to the sides with quick steps, even before I saw anything about an attack I would still dodge. I tried to move at the fastest speed my body allowed. After some seconds, my body was red, my blood flowing at a fast speed, and the sweat was evaporating immediately after leaving my body.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* Every attack made a little hole in the ground. The spider legs were moving faster and faster.

My legs started to hurt, the attacks were getting harder to dodge. I threw my spear away to increase the speed, the time passing and the sunlight getting closer.

My body was already exhausted, the only thing making it move was the need to stay alive and he passed only four minutes dodging. The sunlight was just a second away.

'Just a little mo..' I got distracted for a second and my foot got stuck into a hole. Not forgiving my mistake, one of the spider's spider legs pierced my abdomen and my whole body was impaled by the leg.

'Shit' I thought as blood came out of my mouth.

Blood flowed out of the hole in my stomach, having a hole in the stomach wasn't nice at all.

'Move' I tried my hardest to do something but my body became dull after losing so much blood.

The leg lifted me and trowed my corpse at a tree. I was sent flying with a giant hole in my stomach.

My eyes were losing color, my hands turning cold, and my heart almost stopped beating.

*thump* * thump* As I heard my heart's last beatings, the spider got closer and opened its fangs to eat me.

'Damn, it wasn't like this I imagined my death...' I thought as my eyes closed, losing consciousness.

At the last second, the sun raised, and sunlight covered the spider. It evaporated into black smoke only leaving behind a shining crystal. The crystal landed on the lap of the lifeless corpse lying on the tree and started losing color until it stopped shining and became just a piece of stone.
