Chapter 22. INSIDE THE CELL

Alexa's pov

In the morning we sat down inside the cell not talking that much. We had spent the night in the cold room and slept on the small-sized metallic beds which were not even enough to hold us all. I had slept with Kyra and Robby on one bed because we were the slenderest while Malachi and Billy shared the other bed as they were a bit huge than all of us.

The uncomfortable sleep and hungry stomachs were some of the reasons we had woken up early. We all looked pale and exhausted.

We were still sitting down quietly when a guard walked along the hallway in front of our cell.

"Hey, don't walk on us...let us go right now," Billy shouted at him and walked to the door.

The guard ignored him and walked away.

"What? Are you ignoring us now? Is crossing over such a big mistake?" Billy continued shouting angrily.

Robby walked to where he was standing.

"They are gonna let us free unless the elders order them to," Robby spoke caressing his shoulders.
