Disclaimer: There isn't a ghost of a chance that I own Castle. Rating: M. Time: See above.

Kate Beckett could see Castle talking to Lee Wax in one of the offices. She was leaning into him, her mouth just inches from his. Kate was sure that Castle could easily look down her blouse and admire her boobs as well. Wax smiled and said something to Castle that caused him to laugh. Wait, her hand was moving. Was she trying to grope Castle?

Kate almost walked in and told them to knock it off. She didn't like Wax and she certainly didn't trust her. All Lee Wax wanted was more damned fodder for her stupid book. She was the same as Castle. Wax uses sex to get what she wants, I'm sure of it. Could she have slept with her publisher to establish an alibi for killing Cynthia Dern? I should recheck that.

Lee leaned in and kissed Castle. Kate expected that it would be no more than a brief touch of the lips. A promise of more to come, so to speak. But the kiss went on. Kate looked around the bullpen. Ryan and Esposito were the only ones there besides her and they were faced away from Castle and deeply engrossed in something anyway.

Finally. Kate thought. They broke the damned kiss. I feel like I ought to turn a fire hose on those two.

Kate had no sooner relaxed than she saw them kiss again. This time she clearly saw Castle slide his hand under her blouse. Oh, my god! He's feeling her up right in the middle of the precinct. She quickly looked over at Montgomery's office. Good! He isn't in. She looked back at Ryan and Esposito. They were still engrossed in their own work.

When she looked back at Castle and Wax, he'd taken her blouse completely off and was stroking her boobs. Kate couldn't help but notice that Wax's boobs were bigger than hers: Rounder, fuller and perkier. Castle was working on her nipples now. They were long, thick, very pink and very stiff. Castle bent down and took one breast into his mouth and then the other.

Kate was angry. I should go in there and throw both of those sex crazed writers out of the precinct, for good. But she sat in her chair and did nothing.

Before she knew it, Lee Wax was naked except for a pair of black hose held up by pink garters. Now she was undressing Castle. When she pulled his pants and boxers down Kate saw that he was fully erect. Fully erect doesn't come close. Kate thought, taking a deep breath. He's huge. He's enormous.

Castle sat in a chair and Lee Wax lowered herself down on him, very slowly at first, but moving faster and faster. Castle's hands roamed all over her body. He started by stroking her face, then moved to her boobs, then her clit and finally to her ass. Then he went back to her face and began all over again.

Wax was moaning like a madwoman. Kate looked around the bullpen. Oh, no! Montgomery is back. He's facing away from them but how can he not hear them? How can Ryan and Esposito not hear them? Is this some sort of guy thing? Let your buddy screw some woman in public and pretend not to notice?

Kate shot to her feet. Someone has got to stop this and that someone is me.

She threw the door open and glared at Castle and the naked woman straddling him with her back to Kate. "Castle! Wax! Stop this immediately. Right now."

But when the woman on Castle's lap turned and smiled at her, it wasn't Lee Wax. It was Kate Beckett.

"Go away!" The naked Kate Beckett said. "You're boring, unhappy and you're no fun at all. It's been so long, you've probably forgotten what sex is like."

"Who the hell are you?" Kate screamed.

"Rebel Becks. Now get the hell out of here. We're busy and having fun. Something you don't care about." Rebel Becks turned back to Castle. "Harder, Rick. Touch me everywhere!"

Castle smiled at Kate over Rebel Becks' shoulder. "Sorry, Beckett, but she's pretty hard to say no to. Pun intended."

"Castle!" Beckett yelled, sitting up in bed. She looked around. It was only ten minutes before she had to get up to go to work. When she moved, she discovered that she was wet.

Later, at the precinct, Kate Beckett was staring at the body on the steel morgue table without really seeing it. Then something in Lanie's voice told her that some sort of reply was called for. "Excuse me?"

Lanie shook her head. "I said, Ms. Hart has a long history of drug abuse. Tox screens shows high levels of opioids in her system. No other indications of foul play. She died of an accidental overdose. I'd say about four days ago. It's not a murder, sweetie. Now why don't you tell me what's wrong? You've been sleepwalking since you walked in here."

Kate shook her head. She did not want to talk about the dream about Castle. "It's nothing."

"Is it about the card game?"

Kate looked at her friend. "How do you know about the card game?"

Lanie smiled. "I have my sources. Now, give. Did Castle really throw a hand so you could win?"

"Yes." Kate replied, not saying anything else.

"Why?"

"I don't know. He probably has some macho fantasy that makes him think I can't take care of myself without big, strong Rick Castle to protect me. I do not want to be patronized.'"

"Or maybe he knows how expensive it is to live in the city on a cop's pay and didn't want you to suffer. He's a rich man and if your book sells well, he'll be a lot richer. Maybe it's just his way of thanking you for your help."

Kate glared at her friend. "To begin with, it's not our book, it's his book. And if he wants to thank me he can do so by getting out of my life and my job as soon as he can."

"So, why did you lose to him, the next time you played?"

Kate stopped. "I'm not sure. Maybe I just wanted him to know what it feels like to be patronized."

"Maybe?" Lanie asked.

"Or…Maybe I felt a sense of obligation to Castle. I mean while he is a pest, but I can't deny he has been a help on some of my cases. I…just didn't want to embarrass him in front of his friends."

"Or maybe you like him."

"Lanie!" Kate said, angrily. "Like Rick Castle? Are you kidding me? Of all of the people I know, how can you even suggest that I like Castle? Haven't you been listening to what I've been saying since he showed up?"

"Yes, I have. And I've also watched you since he showed up. You're smiling about ten thousand percent more now than you did before he came here."

"I am not!" She said quickly. I'm not, am I?

"I've seen you, Kate. Why not just admit it. Castle is fun and you could use some fun. Why not?"

"Because I have too much pride to be just another conquest for some empty headed playboy, that's why."

"Do you really think…"Lanie began.

Kate quickly looked at her watch. "I have to go now. Thanks for the information." Kate quickly headed for the door."

"Think about it." Lanie called to her as she left.

As she stood waiting for the elevator, Kate began to think. Okay, Castle is not completely an empty headed playboy. He has been a help. He's shown he can be intelligent, perceptive and even brave. He can also be a giant pain in the ass, but I'm willing to admit he does have some good points. And lots of bad ones. But he's a great father and son. I can admit that. Not to him, of course. He'd never let me forget it if I told him. I just have to put Castle out of my mind.

But as the elevator door closed on her, she had the image of Rebel Becks straddling Castle come unbidden to her mind.
