There was a floating metal palace in an uncharted corner of space. If you overcome the defense systems of this palace, consisting of the most high-tech weapons produced by humanity; you could see the treasure rooms overflowing with the richness of the universe. Rare minerals, plants that take centuries to grow, exotic extinct animals...
And if you were lucky or unlucky enough to pass these treasure rooms, you could reach a certain man's bedroom. Known as the General, it had been so long since he heard his name that he sometimes forgot his name. His upper body was naked, he was sitting on his bed.
''General, do you have any other request?'' A lady in silk robes asked. She had no hair, eyebrows, or eyelashes. Her skin color was somewhere between a very, very pale blue and lilac.
''It's getting harder to control the fingers of my left hand. What can you do about that?'' General asked.
One of his eyes was a nice light green. The other eye had been carved out and replaced by an artificial blue globe to regain the ability of vision. A large part of his chest was formed from flesh as it should be, but it was made of metal from where his heart should be, to the fingers of his left hand.
''Nerve endings must have been damaged in your last fight. Want me to?..'' The general placed his hand on the lap of the woman who was sitting on the bed next to him.
''Do,'' he said. The woman touched the man's hand with her thin, lilac fingers. The general frowned as the light blue sparks from her fingertips touched his hand. He spoke looking at the woman's callous face, ''That lover of yours, ah what was his name? Nevermind, it seems like he doesn't believe in your surrender.''
''I don't have a lover,'' She said.
''Hmm...'' General grabbed the woman's chin with his empty hand and forced her to look at himself. ''Tell me, where did he get the idea that I captured you with the soul seal and that you need to be saved? Nalin, darling, be honest. I won't be angry.''
Nalin gulped and exhaled into the General's face, ''Who knows? Maybe he suspected because you were too weak to fight us, but still able to surpass us.''
''Weak?'' He whispered, ''What do you mean?''
''Your bodies,'' She said, ''Easy to break, to burn, to froze, to crush and they didn't survive for even a hundred years.''
General laughed, ''True. And you get angry with me for waging war on you.''
''What will war with us gain you?'' She grit her teeth.
General released her chin and let her go. ''War? War will not gain anything to anyone. But our victory will give us women and men that will strengthen our blood and land that we will cultivate.''
''So that's what you wanted from the beginning.'' She turned her back to the General.
''What else could it be?'' He watched her back as the woman trembled with rage. ''You can leave now, Nalin.''
After the woman left, he slipped off the silk sheets and turned to the door that no one else allowed to use, except himself. In the small room he entered, there was nothing but the wooden pallet on the floor and the torn blanket on the pallet.
[General.] A voice echoed in his head.
''What?''
[Please go back to the other bed for better sleep quality.]
''Didn't I set you up to keep your mouth shut about this?''
[You set me up to say the best for you, General.]
The General sighed, ''In order to have a sleep quality, I must first be able to sleep. Feather pillows...'' He got sit on the wooden pallet, ''Those silks... You are not human enough to understand this, AI. I can't. I just cannot sleep on silk after all of these years spent on war, while my soldiers still sleep on stones and woods and soil.''
[I recommend you sleep on the other bed for a better sleep quality, General.]
General sighed, ''Do you have anything else to say?''

''Oh?'' His eyes opened with surprise. ''Show me the report.''

The General gave a loud laugh. ''Good, good. How long has it been since Eve6 sent her last report?''
[More than thirty years.]
''I wonder if the war Eve6 was talking about is over or is Eve7 in another area?''
[It seems like another area.]
''Hmm... Maybe she'll discover what happened to our sweet Eve6.''
[Do you want to know how she died?]
''I want to know if she died or betrayed us.'' He thought for a few seconds, ''Anways, thanks to Eve6, the AI of this one makes it impossible to betray us.''
