Washing up after a tiring workout session, rebecca lied down in her bed. she reacher her hand out for the phone near the pillow. it had a message showing, she clicked on it.

 -after school?

-im going to a study session with betty and teressa.

 -oh. then at night?

-WHAT do u wanna do?

-i have an assignment due on thursday. and

Rebecca looked at her table. the assignment papers were still there. she didnt finish it yet. she was thinking of doing it tomorrow but she has to go to the study club. 

She got up and put her phone on charge. then she started to do the assignments.

three hours later, she finally finished it. she was feeling so sleepy she couldve used a nap right now. but it was already 9. she hurried up downstairs to the living room. her sister was already there. she sat at the sofa beside stella. 

"has it started yet?" asked rebecca. "yes. but they'll be shown half an hour later."

"then im gonna make some noodles, you want some?"

"yes, yes ofc" said stella with a smiling face.

after watching tv for a while , their parents were back home. so they had dinner. 

Then she came back to her room and prepared for sleep. she lied down and thought she would scroll on social media for a while. 

She logged in and saw the first post. it was from betty. betty had posted a video. she noticed it after a few seconds. teressa and aron were laughing in the back sitting at a table. rebecca logged out and went to sleep.

"hey, why wont u pick up?" asked nolan with a unclear expression. rebecca put one of her earphones out and asked, "uh?" 

"i called u several times last night"

"oh, i was doing the assignments."

"for me? will you give it to me?"

"no...i wont be able to finish it today so."  

"fine then see u at the lab." nolan canged his direction to his class. "wait, is it today?"asked rebecca with a guilted expression.

rebecca barely managed to sneak in the lab as she didnt bring the lab outfit today. after school hours, she was walking back home when she bumped into teressa and betty.

"hi, ur coming today right?" asked betty.

"yes, i am."

"then dont forget to bring my biology book."

"sure."

"did u do the assignment?" asked teressa.

"yes."

"woah. im pretty sure urs ones gonna be the best designed." said betty.

"no, i think teressa will do better...like always."

"ur very good at designing. besides u do very well when u put ur mind into something." said teressa. "hmm."

Rebecca knew teressa was gonna do better no matter how effort she puts into defeat her. teressa was always one step ahead. she has a clear conscince of her goals. she was very open minded. she's beautiful and tall. emotional but very sensitive about her lifestyle.

Rebecca would be no match to her. but securing the best position in what rebecca loves to is something that keeps her going. still anyone would like a girl who is good at everything than someone whos only good at one thing. rebecca always felt a little insecure but she respects teressas hard work. someimes she thinks teressa's father did a good job in ruling her life. cuz teressa is still always the best, right?

in elementary school, there was a boy who was very good at studies and goodlooking too. rebecca used to like him a little bit. she was too young to know if it was any true feeling at all. 

Later in high school, she had found out teressa used to like him too. her feelings were real. so rebecca didnt feel jealous. but a question rose up in her mind, if freddie had to choose between teressa and rebecca, would rebecca still stand a chance?

Ever since then, rebecca always feels like she cant compete with teressa. what field is she even better at than teressa. even though she respects and likes her as a friend too.

Rebecca, betty and teressa were walking down the slope to the gate. Aron came from behind and tapped teressa's shoulder. teressa stopped walking and looked back. aron had the prettiest smile on his face.

As teressa stopped, betty and rebecca stopped after walking a little further. they could still hear their conversation from here. aron was asking if he could join their study session today. teressa couldnt say no. in fact she thought it was a good idea. betty was wandering why possibly would the top boy be pesturing the ideal girl of their school. 

Rebecca stared at them for a while. her gaze was rather grief than joy for others. she was taking too much time. rebecca put her earphones out of the bag. she put them on and started walking out towards home, leaving betty and teressa with aron there.

As she was walking out looking down, nolan tapped her shoulder and said, "friend sad?im on my way." rebecca laughed a little at his silliness.

Rebecca and nolan walked towards home with an umbrella over the head. their laughs were being heard slowly as they drifted further away. the raining sound made it seem more peaceful.
