Heated

The corridors of Flora Hotel were quiet as Rose walked past the many closed doors. The maroon and emerald carpet muffled her footsteps as she approached a corner.

Suddenly she heard gasps and moans. What on earth…

She slowly tiptoed to the corner as the moans became more prominent. Looking around the corner of the wall she saw Dre with a woman in his arms just like the night of the soiree.

She watched as their lips met and their bodies moved against each other fervently where he held her tightly against his hard chest. Why couldn't she look away?

Just then, while he swollowed the woman's moans, Dre's eyes snapped open and locked gazes with Rose and a gasp left her lips at the heated expression he wore. Was this how he looked that night?

She felt her toes curl and body heat up. Eyes still glued to each other, Dre raised his head and a grin spread slowly and slyly on his wet lips. Rose was finally able to look away from his memorizing eyes but fell prey to his sensuous lips. And there her gaze stayed as she saw him say, "Still staring, Miss Woods."

She knew that! Heavens she knew but she couldn't look away. Why was she here again and why was she so drawn to him?

What would it feel like…his lips? Are they as soft as they seem? Why did the lady kiss him so urgently that night?

How would it feel if she was the one he held…

Before she could realize the direction of her train of thought, she was suddenly against him, in place of the woman who had pushed him against the wall. His body that molded against her was hard but felt warm, his lips just a whisper away from her's. Her already warm body burned and her heart went wild in her chest. It was then that she realized that she wore her white nightdress.

Eyes still on her lips, she saw his pink tongue peep out and lick his bottom lip. Immediately she felt the area between her legs pulsate as the heat in her body found its way there. She felt like she was floating, her breath coming out unevenly as he held her waist, all the while he was calm.

"What do you want, sweetheart?" he whispered against her lips and she shivered.

"I… I don't know." she managed to say breathlessly. Her eyes fluttered closed when she felt his fingers tenderly graze down her cheek. She then felt his forefinger stop just to her lips, his thumb then brushing her bottom lip. She felt the pulsing heat grow stronger and a shudder left her lips.

"Let me help you then." he said promisingly, his voice vibrating down her spine in a way that she never knew she would crave and her heart slammed against her ribs.

Her eyes then shot open and she found herself staring at the ceiling of her four-poster bed. Her body hummed as she lay there trying to make sense of her surroundings.

It was a dream, a dream. She had dreamt about Mr Rickhorn and she didn't know what to think about it. Never in her life has she ever lusted after a man, and now her body betrays her for the one person she could hardly tolerate.

Her body took a while to calm down where she could still feel the throbbing need at her core. She was not a stranger to the feeling, she was a healthy woman after all.

But she had never fantasied so shamefully about a man before. No, she did not do so willingly! It was all because he kept teasing her and invading her personal space. And he had paraded about half naked the day she met him. It's not her fault that her body is reacting to a man's beautiful body- Wait!

Jolting up in bed, she was shocked at her thoughts and immediately wanted to rid herself of them. She will not behave the same way those woman at that soiree, Rose believed that such things should be kept for marriage. And she would keep it that way.

That morning, wanting to avoid Mr Rickhorn as much as possible, Rosette asked Daisy to bring her breakfast to her room and if anyone asked for her, she should tell them that she was just feeling a bit sick.

After having breakfast and washing up, Rose felt irritated that Mr Rickhorn had such an effect on her that she would go so far as to avoid him during breakfast.

Once she had decided that it was late enough in the afternoon for him to still be at the Mansion, she went to the library to spend some time with the hundreds of books.

Closing the ivy doors of the library behind her, Rose made her way to the shelf that had her favorite author.

Slowly walking passed the books until she found the one she was looking for, she pulled it off the shelf and made her way to the couches at the center of the room to sit.

Once on the couch she turned to the first page of her book and started reading. She then heard the sound of paper from somewhere in front of her. She looked up and saw Mr Rickhorn seated in the other couch, fully engrossed in the book in his hand.

A sound like a small squeak left Rose's mouth in surprise. Was he there the whole time? And how did she not hear him?
