Powering Up!

After a week of lazing around and learning Heavenly Laws for myself, I ended up as a Primordial God-ranked being. Basically, all I did was keep listing off the laws that came up from the original ATG novel.

-The Week of Getting Skills-

INDRA'S POV

After I have successfully hidden from those pesky cultivators trying to unearth every secret there is about me, well can't blame them when I am the cause of it. I started finding a need to name my system and give it a body.

Between male and female, I am more comfortable with a woman but I am not a fan of SOMEHOW creating a harem out of the blue and thinking 'How did it become like this!?'

(Dear readers, a harem in real life is not as great as it seems, having sex all day and doing it for multiple hours at night EVERYDAY like depicted in fanfic seems amazing but nope. It will be exciting, yes, but it will quickly get boring as doing the same thing every day will be.)

So in the end I decided to go with a butler-like system, and I decided to go with Sebas from the anime Overlord since I felt like he was the right type to go with.

Indra: "Hey System, do you mind if I name you after a butler named Sebas while also giving you the body of him? Get his character's info from my memories to fill in the blanks if you are confused about what I said"

System: [Very well, Master Indra, I will begin the rebooting process to create my body that you can summon whenever you wish]

Sebas: [10%...50%...90%...100%...Complete!]

While I was marveling that I can see a holographic image of Sebas in my view, I immediately tossed it aside as the thought of power leveling is an amazing thing to feel.

Indra: "Sebas, let's start power leveling shall we? I think it is best to create a body that can adapt to any power I create or get, so let's start with Ban's [Immortal ability] but add this effect to my soul too"

Sebas: [Wise choice, Master Indra, even if there is a chance that your body cannot handle the powers of your choosing, you can still regenerate with your immortal ability and will slowly adapt if you choose not to deal with the problem swiftly]

Without further ado, I immediately tested my powers by yanking out my arm of...which resulted in me howling, followed by other nearby wolf-like animals howling with me

Sebas: [Would you like to acquire a skill the nullifies pain, Master Indra]

Indra: ...(-_-')

I just deadpanned ayt him but decided against Sebas' suggestion, I did, however, told him to have a pain resistance skill since having the ability to feel pain would still be something needed.

During the short exchange, I immediately felt the regeneration of my torn arm, and to my surprise, the sensation was similar to an amazing morning stretch except it was only on the arm

After coming out of my stupor, I immediately asked Sebas another question if he can jump my power to Ancestral God level, to which he only answered with a:

Sebas: [Master Indra, I can, however, you would only get the power output of one but not the benefits of it which is mainly divinity and control over laws.

You may refer to Goku as an example, as he has the power output of a God, though temporarily, as he does not understand any fundamental laws or even an elemental law]

I only nodded to his sound explanation and decided to integrate the mastery of elemental laws first as this is only a one-time feeling. And to answer my thoughts, the feeling of warmth (Fire), wetness (Water), cool (Wind), a prickly feeling (Lightning), and finally a grit-like feel on my skin (Earth).

As the strange feeling washed away I immediately tried raising the heat, and to my utter shock, I mistakenly became an arson...the tens of meter tall trees went up in golden flames with an area of 100 meters.

I sighed to myself and just told Sebas to integrate [Instant Mastery] to not accidentally explode the planet in the near future, and just received my usual '[Complete!]' notification

The thing that I also noticed was that I barely felt a decrease in energy, probably because I only need to use energy to activate it and the laws of fire will follow. And to answer my thoughts...

Sebas: [Master is correct, most cultivators would need to keep expending profound energy so that the laws of fire would keep listening to them.

Similar to an adult giving children sweets, when you run out of sweets the child wanders off. As cultivators only exchange energy with it but do not own or understand enough to wield it with efficiency, intensity, and versatility]

Indra: "Thanks Sebas, anyway, give me the mastery of the laws of Life and Death, will you?"

Sebas being the Butler he is simply nodded and began the integration of Laws to which I only waited with a thought

'After becoming an Ancestral God, I would most probably go for a dragon bloodline, BUT, I will also transform into it from time to time. Unlike those MCs that call themselves dragons but NEVER transformed into one...such waste'

[10%...100%...COMPLETE!]

As soon as I finished my thoughts, a weird sensation washed over me, it felt like the time I died and a feeling of being overly alive...weird combination...oh well

However, it was too soon to think it was over as if the laws were celebrating, the greenery around me grew to towering heights...though it crumbled shortly

Leaving the scenery at that I thought of Space and Time which was next, and to my surprise, Sebas did it automatically with the usual scene of waiting and a...[COMPLETE!] appearing after

The sensation of the new laws was 'something', as the law of Space's effect was bending and distorting the area around me. Soon after Time came in, the scenery went back to normal as if reverting the laws of death...anti-climactic much

'Finally the final one...the readers might get bored due to this...CHARGE ON! that is if you do exist'

For the final law, which was Nothingness, though I decided to mix and match with an opposite of it, the law of Infinity.

When I gave Sebas the green light, then came the familiar [COMPLETE!], however, I-

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

...exploded with energy to which all resounding planets and Star Realms were caught in and immediately disintegrating...

From an observer's standpoint, it looked like a supernova on the scale of a galaxy-wide explosion just happened. Realizing what happened I reverted time as if nothing just happened, with the only one conscious of the events being me

The feeling this time was like I suddenly drank coke but the level of its fizz multiplied, making it feel as if my entire body had to clench from the sudden sensation of it

-RANDOM MERCHANT'S POV- (while MC tested powers)

In all my years...

I have never gone through such an obstacle while hauling goods, I have misplaced gold, paid off bandits, seen bodies on the path, shat my pants due to moldy food, and even people going through tribulation lightning...I thought

Today I was going to sell off my stock of grain, flour, and other non-cultivator items...but as I was in a nearby forest that I wished I had not gone through

A sudden heatwave blew over, drenching me in sweat, evaporating my rations of water, and even making goods such as grain and flour feel drier than usual. Looking over the distance, I spotted the cause of it...

"G-GOLDEN FLAMES!??"

Though mesmerized by the beauty of it, all I received back were eyes so dry that they looked liked like skin

I can only shout in dry coughs for the need of water...to which I wish I never thought of as waves of the clearest water I have ever seen washed over me

*WHOOOOSHH*

*SPLAAAAAAH*

"COUGH! coUGH!"

I tried to stand but could only grovel on my knees while coughing, though I hate to admit, the water tasted sweet and fresh as if it was the very essence of water itself...*GASP*

Remembering my goods, I flashed my head in different directions searching for it...though...I can only cry silently as grains of rice and other goods littered the place

"Goods don't just grow instan- *GASP* MAYBE IT DOES!?"

Shocked at the sight of wheat and rice plant growi...NOT!

"WHY IS IT DYING THIS TIME!?", shouting to the Heavens looking for an answer, the only reply I received was space distorting around me...and finding MYSELF back on the carriage with my goods as if Time rewinded back...

With utter shock on my mind, I can only think of the stuff my Lin Long gifted to me

"sighhh...Lin Long my old friend...the mushrooms you gave me are too stro-BOOOOOOOM!"

"huh...what was I doing!? I should just retire if I am going to be staring off into the distance"
