Nightlife: Pre-Attack

Avery and Jon are walking down the street before entering a restaurant that also has connects with the coven. They sit down Avery only ordering water and Jon ordering one as well. They both sit opposite of each other before speaking to one another.

"So what did you find out Jon."

"Well first things first I figured out what humans know about this world. It's the mayor."

"The Mayor, the fuck he's doing here."

"Not that Mayor, the mayor of New Orleans. Ran into him along with the werewolves. All hate each other or have some tension."

"Like what Cassandra said, also we can probably figure out who runs the vampires that haven't sided with that Allistar guy."

"Yeah sorta knew that. Didn't Chelsie say she had family down here?"

"Yeah, you should know you two dated for a while. Hell from what I could see looks like you two still are."

"Yeah yeah, we just miss each other is all. Anyways you don't think that Chelsie's family is related to Allistar do you?"

"That's a possibility, but for right now don't think about that. What else did you find out?"

"A club, named Nightlife, I think it's more than just you run of the mill club."

"Just like home, vampires do love running their clubs. Any names?"

"Katrina, like the hurricane. From what Julio was telling me, it seems Allistar and some of his people like to go hang out there."

"Perfect, then we enter the club, scout the place, then from there we make a plan to attack."

"That's going to be a problem, Dameon said something along the lines of that place having a protection spell, and if anything told you about last night I think people would recognize you and me if we go in there."

"Not really but sure we can go with that. What do you suggest we do?"

"Disguise ourselves, Julio said he can make that happen."

"Ok, that settles it then. We go to the club when it opens, dress ourselves like were about to have a good time, and then check it out before we go attacking."

"Are we attacking after we scout the place? Seems like a bad idea."

"May as well Jon, can't trust going back there a second time. Since you met the mayor why don't you see if he can give you a blueprint plans of the building see what the place should look like. Once we go in, we should be able to see what changed and what didn't. Knowing vampires they might have a room where they store the blood, like Blade but more out in the open."

"I think getting him involved isn't a good idea Avery."

"It is, if these guys are going to have beef with each other we need to end that beef and let them know that they need to work together if they don't want to ruin the complicated structure they have."

"Fine, I'll go to the mayor's office see what I can get. What are you going to do?"

"If Chelsie knows anything about that place she needs to cough up. As for the wolves we can worry about them later. For the witches we can use the help when we start to raid the place."

"Ok, feels like you should talk to the mayor and I talk to Chelsie."

"No, Jon I know you and Chelsie. If you guys get near each other you guys won't get any work done, and I'm not talking about that kind of work. Now get going."

"Aren't we gonna eat first?"

Avery sighs and orders some food. After the two eat they split off to go do what must be done. Avery goes back to the coven's place and makes some calls. Jon takes a taxi and heads to the city hall. When he enters he goes through security and all that before going up to the help desk to see if the mayor is in his office. He shows the card the mayor gave him and the lady behind the desk tells him where the office is located. He goes upstairs and makes a right before getting screened by another security. He enters the room where the mayor is sitting down looking out the window smoking a cigar. He turns around on his chair and stands up to greet Jon.

"Well well well, ain't it special to see you twice in a row today. Didn't catch your name there partner."

"Name's Jonathan, but just call me Jon."

"Alrighty Jon, what can I help you with, them people giving you trouble?"

"No not at all, but I do need something. What do you know about the club Nightlife."

"Nightlife, well nothing abut it why?"

"Nothing much Mr. Mayor, I just need some blueprints for the building. I have a feeling that the building isn't up to code."

"What do you mean up to code?"

"Well I've noticed a lot of building around here are up to code, meaning there structure isn't going to crumb from let's say a storm or hurricane like Katrina, but the building that the Nightlife is in seems quiet suspicious. There was a reason I was with the men today. I was checking out the café across the street from it. It all checks out."

"Oh you from the state, oh sir you should have told me something I could have let you in. After all no one says no to the mayor. Here let me get you those plans." He goes to his phone calling on the phone. "Kelly sweetheart, a man from the state is asking for blueprints. Mind getting George from the buildings department or whatever it's called down to my office." He turns back to Jon and shakes his hand. "I am so sorry sir, you ain't gonna tell them about all this now are ya?"

"No need to Mr. Mayor, I'll make sure in my report that the blame would go to the people who own the club and not you sir or your people."

"Ah good good, like your thinking." Soon a man comes up and sits down. Another man closes the door and the mayor shuts the blinds close before looking back at Jon. Jon sighs and shakes his head knowing that he may have been caught. The two men grab a chair and sit down. The mayor looks at Jon as if telling him to sit too. Jon does so but does not let his guard down. The mayor lights up another cigar before taking a few puffs.

"You know, clever act you did there dear Johnny boy, sadly I ain't a fool. You see them people know you and them people wouldn't just let a random person check out that here café they own. So tell me, whats you people planning to do with that club?"

"Rather not let you know, but since this does concern you, we have knowledge that the people that are causing these murders have connections with it. Me, a friend of mine, and the coven were gonna give them a good old vengeance. A southern welcome if you put it."

"Well then, glad you told me the truth. I'll see to it that you get them plans. Need them today?"

He nods. The mayor nods to a men who just opens up his suitcase and hands Jon a copy of the blueprints. Jon looks at the mayor and says "Thank you sir. I will hand these back to you after we're done."

"No need Jonathan, it's yours to keep. Oh one more thing before you leave. If you ever decide to lie to me about what you people are doing, and I mean that goes for all them vernon, I will get them hunter leagues down here and deal with it. You guys are lucky that them FBI haven't shut the city down, or even have any witnesses. Now go on and get, call me when you people need my help."

Jon walks out of the office and closes the door. He passes by a few people and waves them off. When's he's outside Dameon speaks to him in his mind once more. "We're being watched again."

"Must be the mayor."

"It ain't the mayor Jon. Two men a car."

"Let them be, it just probably the coven watching us or something."

With that Dameon shuts up as Jon walks back to the coven.
