Acquiring A High Sum On First Sale

"I was just trying to be reasonable but this loot actually belongs to me since my arrow hit first and pierced into the skull of the creature. Your arrow was unnecessary since the creature wouldn't live after getting pierced through like that," Landria said before turning around with the creature placed on his left shoulder.

"Yes, it's mine. I was just trying to share it with you three," He voiced out before walking forward.

Braun's face twitched with anger after hearing that. In the next instant, he suddenly charged after Landria while raising his machete.

"Where do you think you're going you little shit!? It took us all day to get that!" He yelled out and proceeded to swing his Machete from behind, towards Landria's back.

"Braun no!" Arlan screamed out while stretching out his right hand but it was too late.

The machete hacked down forcefully towards Landria's back but just when it was a few inches away from making contact...

Swwhii~

Landria swerved towards the left, causing Braun to miss and stagger forward due to the heavy force he used.

Braun quickly turned around after noticing he missed but a fist was already headed for his face.

Bam!

Landria's right fist slammed into Braun's face, bashing his skull in as multiple teeth were knocked out of his mouth in that same instant.

The force of the punch sent his body hurling across the air as the machete flew out of his grasp as well, while his face was already smeared in blood.

Gasp~

Arland and Clara gasped from behind after witnessing the body of their teammate sent flying several feet across the air with just a single punch.

"One of the things I dislike the most are bullies... don't try to pick on others just because you feel you're stronger than them," Landria stated before turning around to continue moving.

Clara had chills running down her spine and instantly swallowed down every form of retort she had come up with in her head.

Landria paused after moving a few feet forward and slowly turned to the side.

"You, I will share a little with you," Landria said to Arland who stood there with a baffled look.

"Ah you don't have to worry about it, I'll find another creature to hunt," Arland responded with a wry smile.

"I never needed all of it, so I don't mind sharing," Landria said before setting the creature down and proceeding to bring out the dagger his father left him.

Arland was unable to retort and watched as Landria cut a big piece out of the mixed bunny before leaving it in front of him.

In a few minutes, Landria had disappeared from their line of sight along with the rest of the loot.

He left some for Arland because he was the only one who wasn't interested in harming him to get the loot.

Also, he was the only one who fired at the creature so the others didn't deserve anything in the first place.

This had always been a personality of Landria's, he was nice but not to a fault. He wasn't so nice that he would let people walk all over him when they wanted to.

Landria arrived at the spot where he dropped the Dark Yeti earlier and proceeded to lift it along with the piece of mixed bunny dripping with fresh blood.

He activated the Muscle Enhancement spell once more and lifted both creatures before resuming his journey back into town.

At this point, the evening had already arrived due to the amount of time Landria spent looking for the second creature to hunt.

-

"Big brother Landria you're back,"

"Oh my God, what is that?"

"Is it a magical beast?"

"It's so massive,"

The moment Landria arrived back at the house, the kids came flocking and jumping around him while spitting out multiple questions.

"This is a Hell Demon Yeti," Landria said as he dropped it in front of the house.

It made a small thudding sound due to its weight, causing the other kids in the vicinity besides Viktor, Mara, Orion, and Mira to exclaim in astonishment.

"Wow, you killed it yourself," Viktor asked.

"Hnmhm," Landria nodded while still holding onto the piece of the mixed bunny in his left hand.

"We're going to be eating this one tonight," He said while holding the mixed bunny up.

"How did you manage to hunt both of them together?" Mara voiced out.

"Big brother Landria is strong," Mira praised.

Landria rubbed her head softly, "I'll tell you lots all about it later," He voiced out.

"Where is Laura?" He proceeded to ask.

"She was held up by a friend on our way back. I'm sure she'll be back soon," Mara stated.

Landria proceeded to move into the house after nodding in response.

About an hour later, Landria and Laura headed towards the town square to sell the Hell Demon Yeti body parts.

They arrived at one of the stalls and the owner analyzed the creature's corpse for a few moments before proceeding to shake his head.

"It's value goes beyond what I can offer. I advise you take it to the Clearksy town," He explained.

"Thank you old Joe, we'll do that," Laura responded while gesturing at Landria for them to leave.

"Where is Clearksy town?" Landria asked as they walked away.

"It's a town several miles west of here. More civilized with a better economic situation than that of Riverbeak," Laura replied.

"Oh... do they also have the same issues with Riverbeak?" Landria asked, hinting at the bandits' situation.

"Not at all. Their town is just on the outskirts of the only city close to the towns around here," Laura stated.

"No one would dare try to attack them due to their location," She added.

"I see," Landria said with a contemplative expression.

"I still can't believe you went beyond the safe zone," Laura said with a troubled expression.

"Hmm yes it was necessary," Landria responded with a shrug.

"It's dangerous," Laura voiced out.

"Not to me. I told you before I've been doing this for a long time which is why I'm in one piece and this beast isn't," Landria responded with a confident tone.

Laura sighed, knowing there was no way she would be able to convince him to stay away from the unsafe zones.

"Just be careful, okay?"

"Hnm, I will,"

They moved towards a part of town where a wooden carriage could be seen positioned by the roadside with two horses connected to it.

"If we leave now, we can still get there before the traders begin to close for the day," Laura said.

"Alright then, let's go," Landria said while moving towards the carriage.

Laura passed the carriage owner six copper coins and they were let in.

In a few minutes, the carriage had begun heading towards Clearksy town.

The carriage moved quite fast and luckily some of the paths were well cleared so they didn't have issues with the transportation.

They passed through a few plain fields and farm areas, along with a town before arriving at Clearksy town.

It took about an hour ride with the carriage before they got there.

At this time nightfall was already approaching so they quickly headed for the market square after getting off the carriage.

This was Landria's first time being outside of Riverbeak town since he awoke a month ago so he was intrigued and looked around the place.

The town was way more populated than Riverbeak and unlike it, the people here dressed better and lived in better houses.

He could see a seven-story tall, brick-colored tower positioned on the east side of the town. It was quite a distance away from their current position but he could see it clearly since it was the tallest building in town.

After a few minutes of walking, they arrived in front of a stall where they could see beast skins, claws, and teeth on display.

Laura had obviously been here before since she knew exactly where to go.

They met the stall owner and he offered up a good price to buy the entire creature, not just a few body parts like they initially thought.

"I'm offering, Two hundred silver pieces and five hundred copper pieces for this," The dark-skinned bald man voiced out.

Both Landria and Laura stared at each other with looks of astonishment. They hadn't expected that it would sell for such a high amount.

Landria had never dealt with monetary issues since he was born. Everything he ever needed was provided at his former house when his family was still alive. But even with that, he knew this amount had to be pretty high.

"Do you accept?" The man asked again after noticing they still hadn't responded.

"Yes," Landria responded after a while since Laura wasn't objecting.

"Good, we have a deal then," He voiced out before moving into his stall.

He came out a while later with a palm-sized pouch and passed it to Landria.

Landria checked the contents which happened to be the money for the sale of the creature.

After all, was said and done, Landria and Laura turned around to leave.

"Hey kid," The stall owner suddenly called out to him.

Landria paused his steps and turned around.

"Don't forget to sell to old man Croan next time you hunt a creature," He voiced out.

"Sure," Landria nodded before turning around to leave with Laura.
