"I'm leaving tomorrow." Keith informed Alex as they entered their room. He has been trying to find the timing to tell Alex about his business trip. He initially thought to inform his wife immediately then he decided against it given that they haven't been speaking much since Alex learned about the pregnancy.

"You're leaving?" Alex asked, surprised.

"Yeah, I had too. Even though I wanted to stay here with you." Keith explained as he took out his luggage from the storage inside their walk in closet.

Alex's mind went blank and all he can process is that Keith is leaving him. Alex thought his husband might have hated him now and is probably regretting marrying him. He thought Keith married him because of the baby, then why is he leaving him? Is he abandoning the baby too? Is he supposed to leave this house too? After all this is Keith's house.

Alex stares at Keith as his tears start forming in his eyes. He clenched his teeth in the hopes of preventing them from falling.

"Hey what's with that expression? Please don't cry, you're making me feel bad. I really don't want to go but my presence is needed at the new resort. I wish I could bring you with me." Keith hugged Alex closer to him, trying to calm his crying wife.

"You're not leaving me?" Alex asked while sobbing. He hates that his mind keeps having these strange thoughts and he hates himself more that he is too scared to voice it out. He never really understood why he had this extreme fear of abandonment inside him when he grew up surrounded with nothing but love from his parents and his brother.

"What? Of course not, why would you think that way?" Keith chuckled though in his mind he was concerned that Alex would think he would leave him so easily like that. Did he not assure him enough of his love? Out of the two of them he should be the insecure one as Alex has yet to say the words back to him.

Alex sadly watched Keith pack his luggage for his business trip. He wanted to do it for the Alpha but his emotions have not yet fully calmed down. He's afraid his tears would keep on falling if he's the one packing Keith's clothes.

"Hey! Do you still think I'm leaving you?" Keith laughed, trying to lighten the mood. "See I'm just packing a small luggage. It's just three days. I specifically asked Dana to squeeze in my schedule so I can come back as fast as I could." He gave Alex a soft kiss on the top of his head as he packed the last piece of clothing he needed for the business trip. He really hoped he could finish everything in three days, he couldn't care if he didn't sleep, he wanted to come back as soon as he could. He really doesn't want to leave considering Alex's state right now.

Alex just hugged Keith as tight as he could as if not wanting to let go. He even rests his head on Keith's chest as they lie down in their bed.

"Alex" Keith whispered as he gently stroked Alex's hair. "When I get back we should have a talk." Keith said and though Alex didn't respond explicitly, he can feel him moving his body closer to him. "Take this three days to think things through and let's resolve whatever it is that's bothering you together. Okay?" Keith kissed Alex on the lips which the latter responded passionately. If anything, Alex is not rejecting him which somehow relieved him.

They hugged each other tightly, both hoping tomorrow wouldn't come so soon as they both dreaded the separation that's about to come, no matter how brief it is.

"What about the braised chicken? Is it good?" Dan asked Chloe who is a frequent diner of the restaurant they are in.

"If you like chicken then you will find it tasty. I had it a few times already." Chloe answered. "Hmm but today I'll have the beef stew since I had chicken last night." Chloe said though she's still browsing the menu. "How about you Alex? What would you have?" Chloe turned to Alex who hasn't said a word since they left the office.

"Alex? Alex to earth! Hello!" Dan snapped his fingers in front of the spaced out Alex.

"What?" Alex replied not showing any interest at all.

Dan frowned at his friend's reaction. "We're asking what you would like to order." Dan exclaimed. They are having lunch outside the office instead of their usual Sebastian packed meals whenever the president is not available to eat with Alex.

"He was like that since this morning." Chloe whispered when she noticed Dan staring at Alex with a concern look.

Alex seemed to be out of it and though he is physically with them but his mind is elsewhere. Well Dan couldn't blame his friend for being in this state. It's the first time Alex's been away from his husband since they got married. However, his gut is telling him there is more to it that Alex hasn't told him.

"Oh my God! Why is he here." Dan exclaimed. "Stop it. The two of you don't look at the entrance. I don't want him to see us." Dan instructed the two who got instantly curious.

"Ohhh! That's surprising, I thought this place is below his standard." Chloe replied, hiding her face in the menu.

Alex doesn't know how to react. It's been a while since he saw him. He never had a pleasant experience in dealing with that guy. His presence is definitely not a welcome sight, especially not today.

"What a coincidence, you guys are here too." Dwight greeted them with his lecherous smile hidden behind his friendly demeanor. The attempt of the three not to catch his attention obviously failed. "You don't look so good Alex, the president is not treating you well?" Dwight said, turning his attention to Alex. "You could come back to my department, I'm sure I'll treat you better than Keith." Dwight added, his words clearly have a double meaning.

Alex did not reply, he could swear he's already feeling nauseous at Dwight's mere presence. He almost faint when Dwight rubber his shoulder. At the corner of his eyes he saw Colin looking at them, he must have sensed his agitation and he seemed ready to interrupt as soon as he gave the signal. For once, he was glad Keith insisted that he have his own bodyguard.

"I would have liked to join you guys but I'm meeting someone here today. Maybe next time I'll treat you guys for coffee." Dwight said, sounding a bit disappointed, though in reality he saw the bodyguard slowly moving in. He sneaked in another shoulder rub on Alex before leaving for his "appointment".

"My God! I hate that man. I don't feel his pheromones because I'm a Beta but Oh Lord, I can feel his lustful intent towards Alex." Chloe said, shuddering as soon as Dwight was out of earshot. "You better tell the president about this." Chloe suggested.

"Are you okay?" Dan asked worriedly.

"Yeah I'm fine." Alex replied to his friend. He also nodded at Colin's direction to inform him that all is well. Alex's body trembled, he can still feel Dwight's hands on his shoulders and it's making him dizzy. He wish time would move faster so Keith could come back soon. Same goes for Mattie.
