Shen Yan then returned to her room. She took a shower and lay back down on her bed. After tossing and turning for five minutes, she sat up helplessly and turned on the lights.
She sighed.
Shen Yan still could not bring herself to leave Lu Yan alone. After all, he did not look well and looked very sick. Moreover, an hour had passed, and she did not know if Lu Yan had left.
Shen Yan then put on her slippers and walked to the door. She could vaguely see the lights of the living on through the crack of the door.
She proceeded to open the door and walked toward the sofa. Then, Shen Yan noticed that Lu Yan was still lying on the sofa, maintaining the same posture as when she left for her bedroom.
"Lu Yan?" Shen Yan called out tentatively.
However, Lu Yan's face was slightly flushed, and did not answer her.
Seeing this, Shen Yan frowned. She pulled away Lu Yan's hand that was resting on his forehead and placed the back of her hand on it.
