Chapter : 4 King piece Rejected!

Author Note: Hello readers there are some minor changes Emma and Grace are the two maid names that take care of Dylan so don't get confused and I have also edited chapter 2 and wrote their name there with some description sorry for the inconvenience.

---------------------------------------------

Time slipped away as Dylan lay in his cradle, sipping milk from a bottle tenderly held by the maid. His eyes gradually closed, succumbing to the embrace of sleep.

"Seems like the young master has fallen asleep," Emma remarked, gently taking the bottle from his mouth. Her gaze lingered on the peacefully sleeping Dylan as she rested her hand and head on the cradle's railing. "The young master is really cute. I hope I can care for him as he grows up," Emma murmured, unaware of Grace overhearing.

"Emma, don't get too attached to the young master," Grace cautioned, her words confusing Emma.

"Why would I be restricted from caring for the young master ? But I've done everything correctly," Emma muttered to herself.

"It has nothing to do with you, Emma. Can't you see? The young master doesn't possess any demonic energy, and you know what happens to someone with low demonic powers," Grace explained. Emma looked at Dylan, realizing she had never sensed any demonic energy around him.

"Maybe the young master's cuteness has suppressed his demonic energy," Emma suggested with a wide smile.

Sighing, Grace began, "Emma, haven't you heard what happened in the Bael clan? The heir born without the power of destruction and low demonic power was shunned to the countryside."

"So, you're telling me the young master will suffer the same fate? Plus, there's no way Lady Grayfia is going to let that happen," Emma insisted.

"You might be right; Lady Grayfia won't let that happen to the young master. But what I heard today might," Grace paused, adding, "Let's forget what I said and get to work."

"Grace, don't leave me hanging like that. Please, tell me," Emma pleaded, gripping Grace's shoulder and shaking her.

"Emma, you're always like that. You get attached to people easily, and they sometimes even take advantage of you, leading to problems. That's why I'm saying, don't get too attached to the young master. It might hurt you later," Grace advised.

"Grace, don't change the topic," Emma pressed.

Giving in, Grace whispered, "When I was passing by the head's room, I overheard him talking to his knight. If the young master isn't cured, he has to leave Gremory Castle."

Time elapsed, Emma steadfastly at Dylan's side, observing him in his slumber, while Grace departed, beckoned by Venelana. The sun descended, casting a warm glow with the moon adorning the night sky. Emma, succumbing to the night's embrace, rested her head on the cradle's railing.

In the quiet canvas of the night, Dylan's eyes fluttered open. "How long have I been asleep?" he pondered in the innocence of infancy, discovering Emma peacefully asleep beside him. "Why is she sleeping here?" Dylan wondered.

With nothing to engage him, a yawn escaped Dylan's tiny form. "I suppose I'll surrender to sleep once more," he murmured, drifting into the realm of dreams as the night whispered its lullabies.

The next day ....

With the morning sun's golden tendrils streaming into Dylan's room, a sudden click echoed through the space. Grace entered, rousing Emma from her slumber with an urgent plea, "Emma, wake up! Everyone is on their way here," she insisted.

Emma, still groggy and not fully cognizant, opened her eyes to the summons. However, before the haze of sleep could fully lift, the door swung open, announcing Sirzechs and the entire family's entrance, accompanied by Ajuka.

Emma, upon seeing them, jolted into alertness, hastily rising and positioning herself on the periphery. Ajuka's authoritative voice cut through the air, "Leave the room," he instructed, prompting the maid and others to retreat beyond the closed door.

Amidst the unfolding commotion, Dylan stirred, greeted by a familiar face smiling down at him. "Isn't he that baptism uncle?" Dylan pondered in his infantile musings.

"Hi, little buddy. We meet again. When we met yesterday, I wasn't able to give any gift, so here I am with your present," Ajuka announced, and a Chess king piece began to hover above Dylan.

Dylan, displaying a touch of wit beyond his years, quipped, "A chess piece? At least give the full set so I can play with it." Yet, his amusement turned to bewilderment as the chess piece floated towards him, infiltrating his chest. "Wait, why are you putting a chess piece inside me? Stop!" Dylan protested, his words confined to his thoughts.

"Seems like you're happy," remarked Ajuka, oblivious to Dylan's internal objections. However, an abrupt surge of energy emanated from Dylan's chest, accompanied by red and black sparks. The chess piece, initially embraced by Dylan, began to forcefully exit.

"Wait, what's happening?" Ajuka muttered in confusion as the king piece began to reject Dylan's body.

Holding the king piece in his hand, Ajuka stepped outside the room, interrupted by Sirzechs' question, "Was it successful?"

"Can we talk in private?" Ajuka requested, and both Sirzechs and Ajuka left together. Zeoticus promptly entered the room, placing his palm above Dylan. "So, Ajuka was unsuccessful," Zeoticus deduced before swiftly leaving, leaving only maids, Grafiya, and Venelana in the room.

Meanwhile on a balcony overlooking a vast expanse of nature, Sirzechs and Ajuka stood in a contemplative silence, the gentle breeze playing with their surroundings. "The king piece rejected your son body," Ajuka revealed.

"But why? You did tell me it would work," Sirzechs questioned, a hint of frustration in his voice.

"I am also quite surprised by this result. Can you give me your son for some days? I want to thoroughly check him and understand what the problem is," Ajuka proposed. Sirzechs, sensing the gravity of the situation, immediately agreed.

While in a distant part of the Gremory castle, a young man's voice echoed, "Master, everything is ready as you planned."

To be continued.....
