[Donald's POV]
Of course, Louis and Mark didn't dare to defy my orders.
They quickly accepted the task and went on their way, holding the satellite phone as they headed back to the front passenger seat of the RV, where their work wouldn't disturb Benjamin or me in the main cabin.
Gazing at their retreating figures, I leaned back in the seat and tiredly pinched the dry corners of my eyes.
The past few days had been too chaotic, too full, wearing me down, especially when I thought of the things related to Austin. An air of gloom and confusion filled my heart.
I couldn't understand why Austin would do such things, what was going through his mind as he kept those things hidden from me. Was he, like Angel, harboring a lot of dissatisfaction towards me?
When exactly did we, friends who had grown up together, start to change?
No one could answer these questions for me; I could only bury them deep within my heart, hoping perhaps that no answers would ever surface...
