Sandro stared at Xaviera as he smirked. Xaviera didn't bother about what her rival told her, after all she didn't want to be with Sandro, it was just this small alliance that was gonna keep them together.
"Ain't you guys done? Come out, we have to do some small preparations. Xaviera, you and Sandro should get to know what's ahead of you in the future. That's why we've brought a powerful Pastor to determine what would happen between you two in the future.
You guys should come downstairs." Rosetta told them as she entered the room.
"But grandma, do we have to do all these disgusting things? I mean... Is it necessary? I don't want to indulge myself in some insane stuff." Sandro lamented to his grandma.
"Take back those words! It's your wife's custom, and as the groom, you'd have to participate in what your wife believes. It doesn't matter if we believe in them or not. It's just for your well being. After all we'd get to know what would happen between you both in the future. The most interesting part is that, we'd get to know the number of children you'd have. And a lot of things. Come downstairs soon, we'd be waiting." Rosetta said as she left the room for Sandro and his timid bride.
"You see? I have to go through stupid things just because of this silly wedding thing." Sandro scoffed.
"My tradition ain't stupid."
"I see, how can someone just predict the future like that?"
"Just wait and see. What the pastor is gonna say today would surely come to past. Just wait." Xaviera said as she left the room without any hesitation.
Sandro followed her, as they both went downstairs, where their family members sat.
"Here they come. Now, we'd see what heaven holds for them." Rafaela said happily.
Sandro and Xaviera walked towards everyone, as they took their seats.
"The pastor would be here anytime soon. We'd just have to wait for a couple of minutes." Carlotta, Xaviera's mom said.
They all sat, as they watched TV. They were watching some wedding ceremonies that took place in the past. How the bride and the groom looked happily together.
----
In less than five minutes, the pastor arrived. He wore white from head to foot. His grey hair made him shine as he walked. He looked like a saint, with his innocent wrinkled face.
Rosetta and Carlotta walked to him to give him a befitting welcome.
Everyone stood to acknowledge his presence.
"Welcome priest. Here are our bride and groom. You'd give us a small account on what would transpire between them in the mere future. We'd love to know how their love story would go." Carlotta told him.
"It's a pleasure to be here today. As I entered, I smelt something not quite right. But, I'd leave that aside. We all have to go into an empty room, for I don't want to be distracted. The family members can join us. Make sure the bride and the groom dress very elegantly. Let the bride look very beautiful enough to look like Gold in the eyes of her groom. And all of you, their family, please look good to. We all would like to celebrate, whether what I'm going to say is good or bad news. After all, it's destiny, which can never be changed." The grey headed pastor instructed.
Everyone went to their rooms respectively, to do what the pastor asked them. Sandro didn't like that idea. He thought it was stupid, and there was no way he was ready to believe in anything the old man would say.
Rafaela went to Xaviera and Sandro's room, to make sure they were looking their bests.
She helped Xaviera with her makeup.
Once they were done, the household was summoned in one of the rooms in the mansion.
In no time, destiny would be predicted.
