Chapter 50: True Happiness
“Theo told me all about you and Adan, and you mentioned moving. Is everything okay?” Lance had grown to enjoy the nights when the pack would make the trip to the forest.
Theo was on his run with Wilbur and Lydia, and Scott was enjoying the sight of Toby giggling and smiling up at Lance.
“I had to cut ties with Adan for you and for the pack. Adan has never approved of my bond with you, to begin with, but I also know that he still harbors some hate towards our pack. Adan wanted me and Theo to join the Shadow Fang Pack, so I know my becoming Alpha of this pack must have left him feeling bitter,” Scott responded.
When he thought about it, Scott wasn’t all too upset to know that he hadn’t heard from Adan or Miles since Adan had tried to talk to Theo. Scott wondered at times how Adan was coping with the loss of both his nephews, on top of the work to change for the better.
“And moving?” Lance had asked, sending Scott’s mind drifting and the distant look in the Alpha’s eyes.
