Chapter 25: A Talk With the Alpha
Just like Scott had pulled Theo out of school, Miles was now doing the same to Scott. But where Scott had done it with good intent, the wolf shifter wasn’t sure if Miles had the same pure intent. He certainly found himself having some doubts about the Alpha.
“Remind me again why you had me use the family emergency excuse to get out of work today?” Scott questioned the man through clenched teeth.
He tried to keep his anger in control around Miles, wondering if the reason for Miles being here had anything to do with Adan. After all, the last time that Scott had seen Adan was just days before his trip with Theo, and Scott had ended up turning on his uncle.
“Calm down, Scott. I come in peace, I promise,” Miles tried to reassure Scott with a small smile.
