Chapter 20: Confrontation
“I can’t believe you told Lance about what happened to my parents. You made up some pathetic lie that they died in a home robbery no less!” Scott snarled at the man through clenched teeth and it took all of his strength not to attack Ruben.
Scott never liked talking about his parents, about his past, but it hurt so much more to know that a pathetic lie had been given.
“I’m not an idiot, Scott. Lance is a human but he’s still your mate. You have to decide if you want to accept him or reject him. But you need to stop being so blinded by the past that you’re just going to keep running from your problems!” Ruben threw back in his face even as he felt himself drawing back from the wolf shifter.
‘I forgot that Scott is an Alpha’s son. I wonder if he could have given Miles a run for his money,’ The thought crossed Ruben’s mind as he swallowed the lump in his throat.
