Old Library

Resel was flabbergasted so she kept her mouth shut.

Rune observed her for some time and then in a low voice said, "you said you would help me. Is the help still up?" He asked softly. This was the first time when he had ever spoken so softly to someone except for his sweeties.

Resel was literally swept away by Rune's charm thus she nodded her head shyly.

"Good. So for the time being I have applied for the rental room in the library. Meet me at night when everyone would be in deep sleep. I will be waiting for you at the current spot. okay?" Rune asked.

Resel was shy again. There was nothing wrong in Rune's statement nor was his expression corrupt. He was staring at her openly with calmness and did not have any vulgar thoughts. Her flustered heart became calm again and she replied with a simple yes.

Rune calmly smiled at her without any expression and thanked her, "Then we will meet at night Miss Resel "and with that, he simply turned around and left the library.

Resel stood there in a daze as her cheeks became red again.

"Holy Lord! Am I charmed by beauty?" Resel murmured under her breath and then she too left while giggling.

The day ended very quickly, at least for Resel. She was very much excited to meet that handsome man again.

Resel was a simple-minded girl. Just like other girls she too liked handsome men. The one who can give butterflies in your stomach. She did not harbor any ill thoughts about Rune, instead, she just wanted to befriend him and help him. She had helped various handsome men who had visited the library as they all went on their ways later, leaving Resel all alone. Rune was an intelligent man and had an important position in Royal strategies warfare thus he was easily able to catch Resel's personality. His thoughts were very clear to him. He would befriend her and let her help her. In return, he will provide some monetary benefits to her or they can also remain friends but that will depend on circumstances. With all sorted in his mind, he spends his rest of the day catching his sleep and woke up at night.

When the clock struck 12 Rune came out of his room and went to the old resolute place inside the library where they had promised to meet. Rune had donned an all-black outfit which helped him in merging with darkness. With his stealth footsteps, he reached there only to see no one there. He waited patiently for 15 minutes and then swiftly grabbed someone as he embraced the person to hide both of them.

The person inside Rune's embrace was struggling very hard so with no choice left Rune whispered "It's me "in that person's ear. The person inside the embrace suddenly quieted down. After five minutes later ensuring that there was no one other than themselves, he backed away a few steps.

Resel who was suddenly grabbed was shocked when she was pulled in an embrace and struggled very hard with all her might. She was even regretting her decision to come here but as soon as she heard a soft voice of a man beside her ear, she breathed a sigh of relief and immediately stopped her struggles.

"I apologize again Miss Resel. I know I have wronged you many times today and have also apologized too many times too, but it's the only thing I can do. Apologies. Just now when you were walking, I saw a man trailing behind you", Rune told calmly.
