"So let me ready off your wishes-" it spoke "You are rather modest compared to the others that have passed through here, your first wish is to be reborn as the son of Lin Beifong, your name is to be Jojo Beifong, you will have a Stand, as in the ones from Jojos Bizzare adventure, you will be 17 and an Earth bender with the sub-skills of lava and Metal. Is all of this correct"
"That is all correct." They shook hands, and the man turned into golden dust. Turning into nothing

"Get your sorry ass up maggot!!!!" I heard a wrapping on the door. It sounded like... it was no dream. I sat up and looked around. A sharp sting went through my brain.
I saw a uniform hanging up in an open closet. Grabbing it and buttoning it up I heard a shift in the door handle. Upper middle-aged women walked into the door. She wore black plate amour and had an organized and curvy hairstyle with a small parting in front.
She had an angry look on her face. She didn't say anything, so I didn't think. "So, are you just gonna stand there?!?!" "Sorry," I responded before walking towards the door. I felt an urge to grab a side bag to hang on the belt of the suit.
It was in a wardrobe behind the door, I grabbed it and clipped it onto my leather belt as I walked behind her.
"Jeez Louise kid, you're gonna give me an aneurysm." Lin sighed and put her right hand on her scalp.
We walked through the front door, it felt a little cold. The house was high in the mountainous hills surrounding Republic City.
Lin hopped into a jeep and so did I, but much slower. I was still getting used to my body.
Opening the side bag, I found a pencil and a small notepad. I pulled a strip of leather and opened the Pocketbook
It had plenty of writing, it was notes about police work. The car started with a rumble before flying off, metaphorically.
The pages of the pocket notebook started flying, so I closed the notebook and slid a piece of the leather into a hole.
I put the book back into the side bag. Lin spoke clearly "Today we're gonna declare you my apprentice... officially"
Memories slowly seeped into my psyche, not too much so I was not overloaded. I still had a headache but it was light.
We entered the city proper. These skyscrapers were not as tall as the ones I knew in my past lives. Most of the skyscrapers had unrecognizable names, except for Cabbage Corp.
We arrived at a very large box-shaped building with intricate designs and a bronze statue of Toph Beifong at the top of the stairs.
We continued driving by, going around to the back and backing into a garage. She hopped out, her amour clinking, so I followed. There were no doors in the back, so I had to jump it.
I put my left hand on the side and used it to jump over the side of the jeep. I landed on the concrete with a thud, Damm that's hard on the knees.
"Your gonna follow me around all day, see what I do and how I do it, you may be a great bender but that's not what this job is all about" Lin explained as I walked behind her.
We walked into a rather large room, quite a few people were behind desks doing paperwork. Lin sat down in front of one of the desks and started talking to the formally dressed woman.
The lady handed Lin a piece of paper. Lin grabbed a pen and started filling out the paper before putting it in the folder the lady just handed her.
"Follow me, Jojo." Lin made a little motion with her hand. They walked through a set of doors. They continued walking through the depths of the government building.
I sat around her office, reading the notes. A few people visited her from here to there, not anyone of noting though.
He eventually finished, and he turned to his left to look at the bookshelf. He stood up which caught the eye of his mother.
He grabbed a book on geology with his left hand. Someone on her desk radio started speaking. 'We've got a situation, a gang fight is happening in a back street off of Park Street'
"Looks like we're gonna have some fun today," Lin said. She got up quickly and quickly walked out the door. I put down my book with my left hand before following her. We turned right and went up a few flights of stairs.
She shoved open the door to the rooftop top where an Airship was about to take off; Lin grappled me with one arm and then started running.
She used her metal cables to boost up. We landed on the walkway on the outside of the ship. I followed her to the bridge of the ship.
The Airship was loud with voices. We soon reached our target; it was a girl dressed in blue riding a polar dog on top of a yellow-striped train.
Another Air ship pulled up beside ours, metal benders on both Airships entangled the Avatar and her pet. Our ship took presence and the other ship let their cables go.
More metal benders on our side entangled the Avatar leaving her hanging under the ship. He could hear the avatar struggling.
The ship flew back to the station while the other ship went back to patrolling. I started writing down my notes while they took the avatar into custody. They kept the polar dog chained up, taking Naga to a different section.
A man with a curly mustache and another man with no facial hair or any other distinguishable features held the Avatar's shoulders, guiding her to a dark room with a single luminescent light bulb.
Lin walked into the room with a clipboard, Her armor clinked.
