There It Is

He hurried downstairs, and before Valerio could enter the car, he grabbed a hold of him and pulled him back.

"Hold on! Let me drive you. Let's not die in the process of loving, okay?" He asked, and Valerio reluctantly handed the key to him.

"I will make sure to learn how to drive again." He mumbled to himself and moved over to take his seat on the passenger side.

Nix sat in the driver's seat and started the car's engine.

He put the car in reverse and drove out of the compound onto the road.

"Will we be able to catch up to her?" He asked, and Valerio nodded at him.

"I believe so..." He turned his head to look at him. "THAT IS IF YOU DRIVER FASTER THAN A TURTLE!" He scolded, annoyed by how slowly Nix was driving, and Nix, in retaliation, glared at him.

"Okay, okay. Don't bite my ears off." He frowned deeply and raised the speed of the car.

He sped as far as he could, his mind set on catching up to the car that Everly was in.
