Excerpt: Drogen's expression softened as he stared down at her lips, a rare glimpse of raw desire shining in his eyes. "You know," he began, his voice dropping to a whisper, "I've been desperately wanting to do this since you hugged me." Before she could protest, his lips claimed hers, soft but insistent, catching her completely off guard. Her breath hitched as his tongue teased hers, coaxing a response. She froze for a moment, her heart racing wildly, but as his warmth enveloped her, she gave in, kissing him back. Her hesitation melted away as his touch deepened, slow and gentle, yet ignited sparks through her whole being. His hands found her waist, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them. She gasped softly when she felt his bulge pressed hard against her, her cheeks heating in response. He didn't seem to care—if anything, it turned him on even more. His grip tightened as though he couldn't get enough of her, his kisses growing bolder, more demanding, yet still carrying an undeniable tenderness. Her fingers gripped his shirt for balance, holding on as the intensity of his touch left her breathless. He kissed her like he was savoring her, like every second mattered, and it sent a thrill through her. Every brush of his lips, every press of his body against hers, made her forget where she was. All she could feel was him. Finally, he pulled back, their foreheads resting together as they tried to catch their breath. His voice was low and rough, full of longing. "You're driving me crazy, Nat." Her lips were still tingling from his kisses as she met his gaze, her own voice trembling but steady. "Then don't stop." His dark eyes blazed with desire, and a faint smile touched his lips. "You don't know what you're asking for," he murmured, his hand slipping lower, his touch firm yet careful, as if she might disappear if he wasn't careful. "Maybe I do," she whispered, a small smile playing on her lips despite the way her heart pounded in her chest. Something in his expression softened, but the hunger in his eyes remained. She had undone him completely, and for once, he didn't want to fight it. Whatever this was, he wasn't letting go, and neither was she. He drove her to work

Chapter 14

"Sex? That's it?" Drogen asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Yes, but only when it's done 100 days after the blood pact can it be nullified," Bruce explained.

"Who the hell invented a rule like that? Are you sure there's no other way?" Drogen asked, clearly frustrated.

"None that I know of," Bruce replied with a shrug.

"Damn it." Drogen raked his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"I tried to warn you," Bruce added, clearly enjoying himself.

"Just get lost. You don't have to rub it in my face, you know," Drogen snapped, furrowing his brows.

"What kind of emotions are you feeling? Maybe I can help," Bruce offered, his tone unusually curious.

"Well, whenever I see her, I find her ridiculously attractive. My chest tightens, my heart races like crazy, and I can't help but get worried whenever I think she's in danger or..."

"Sounds like she's the one in love with you," Bruce interrupted.

"You mean she's in love with me? But how? When?" Drogen asked, baffled by the notion.

"Don't know... you can ask her later. Anyway, I've got my own problems to solve, so deal with yours, man." Bruce waved him off and vanished like smoke.

Drogen sighed heavily and flopped onto the couch. Oddly enough, the thought of her possibly loving him stirred an unfamiliar but oddly exciting feeling within him. He lay awake for a long time, his mind racing with thoughts of her, before sleep finally claimed him.

---------------

The next morning, Natasha woke up to find herself in Drogen's house. She sat up abruptly, her mind rushing to recall the events of the previous night. When the memories came flooding back, her face flushed a deep red, and her heart began racing uncontrollably. She knew their relationship would never be the same after what had happened, but how could she face him now?

Shaking off her nerves, she headed to the bathroom, showered, and got ready for work. As she stepped out of the bedroom, her heart skipped a beat at the sight before her. Drogen had just come out of the shower, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, leaving his perfectly sculpted chest on full display. He looked like a living, breathing Greek god.

"Stop staring, you pervert," he teased, a sly grin tugging at his lips, she snapped out of her daze, looking away.

"I wasn't staring! I was just—" she stammered, her face burning with embarrassment.

"How was your night?" he interrupted, his tone casual.

"Not bad," she mumbled, still avoiding his gaze, a man who looked like this was tempting to any woman, especially when he was clearly flaunting his muscles to taunt her.

Before she could step away, Drogen teleported to stand directly in front of her, startling her. Her heart raced even faster as he leaned in, his piercing gaze locking onto hers.

"Why are you nervous?" he asked, his lips curving into a small, knowing smile.

"I'm not!" she quickly denied, her voice trembling slightly.

"You're unusually calm today. That's not like you," he remarked, his hands suddenly resting on her waist. He pulled her closer, and Natasha felt like her heart might explode.

"Alright, fine! I'll act like I usually do," she said, breaking free from his grip and taking a deep breath to steady herself.

"Why the hell are you walking around shirtless this early in the morning? Don't you know it's—" She trailed off, unable to finish her sentence as his smirk grew wider.

"It's what?" he taunted, his voice dripping with amusement.

"Just put on some damn clothes!" she snapped, rushing past him, her hand over her face as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

"Wait," he called after her, his tone softening. "I made breakfast. You can eat while I get ready. I'll drive you to work today."

"You'll drive me?" she asked, turning to him in surprise.

"Yeah, I need to handle a few things at the company anyway," he replied casually.

"You work there?" she asked, her brow furrowed.

"I own it," he said, smirking at her stunned expression.

"Wait... are you telling me you're Dante Lee, the CEO?" Natasha exclaimed, disbelief evident in her voice.

"So you mean our CEO was a grim reaper all along" she added and laughed in amusement.

"You don't have to make it sound so dramatic," he replied with a grin.

"What about Mr. Thompson? How are you going to handle him?" she asked, her face growing serious as memories of the team dinner resurfaced.

"Don't worry about him. I'll take care of it," Drogen said firmly before heading back to his room.

Natasha sighed in relief as he disappeared from view. She pressed a hand to her chest, trying to calm her racing heart.

"What's wrong with me? Why can't I think straight whenever he's around?" she muttered to herself.

Sitting down for breakfast, she found a plate of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon waiting for her. The thought that Drogen had made it for her made her blush hard again.

'You've got some serious issues girl, just eat the damn food and stop picturing yourself with him in a kitchen kissing you on the counter while you're cooking ' she scolded herself and started eating....her face flushed the whole time

When Drogen reappeared, now dressed in a sharp black suit, Natasha froze. He looked absolutely breathtaking, and she found herself unable to look away, this was the first time seeing him in suit.

"Stop drooling and follow me. We've got work to do," he said, making her cough in embarrassment.

"I wasn't drooling!" she protested, though her flushed cheeks betrayed her.

As they got into the car, Drogen opened the door for her.

"I just can't help acting like a gentleman when I'm in a suit,"

"I think the cold, aloof, mysterious personality suits you better," she shot back with a smirk.

The car ride started in silence, but Natasha couldn't stop herself from addressing what was on her mind.

"Last night... we..." She hesitated.

"We what?" Drogen asked, smirking knowingly.

Natasha wanted to know how he felt about their actions last night. She knew he couldn't feel love so there was no way he liked her, but she still wanted to know.

She took a deep breath. "Did we... do it?" she finally blurted out, her face turning crimson.

Her question made him chuckle. "No, we didn't," he said firmly.

"We didn't?" she asked, her surprise evident.

"You passed out after..." He hesitated

"After what?"

"Well, after you came once," he said bluntly, making her choke on her own saliva.

"You don't have to remind me—I remember now," she mumbled, turning away to hide her embarrassment.

Drogen couldn't help but smile as he glanced at her. He found her reactions amusing, especially since he could sense her emotions so clearly.

"Don't act like a child. I know you've been with other men before. It's nothing new," he said nonchalantly.

"No, I haven't," she replied firmly.

"You don't have to lie—"

"I swear, I haven't!"

"Wait, you mean no man has ever touched you before?" he asked, his expression suddenly serious.
