Tokyo, Japan,
Shibuya,
Samuel POV,
Grass rustled in the wind, a few birds chirped in the sky and the eventual vehicle passed by, the people in it left to contemplate if what they had seen was real.
In a park, covered by bushes and trees around the edges in most areas, two individuals could be seen staring each other down.
A bald giant of a man with an inhumanly bulky build in black trousers and a black shirt, a discarded trenchcoat of the same colour lay some distance away from him.
Staring up at him was a teenager with white hair and blue eyes, surely tall but short compared to the 7'3 monster in front of him.
"Impressive, Impressive, boy." Spec praised with a maniacal grin on his face, greatly pleased about having found a good opponent.
"Likewise." Samuel shortly nodded, to say he'd kicked the man with all his strength would be a lie but it was still considerable power. He put a hand over his torn shirt and ripped it off in one swift movement, it was getting in the way because of the strands of cloth hanging out as a result of his previous confrontation.
Spec didn't give Samuel the time to 'recuperate' and at speeds far greater than before, swung his right hand to the right smashing it into the teenager's cheeks and throwing him clean off the ground, straight into a tree which consequently cracked and fell down to the right, making a significant amount of noise in the process.
"Oya? A bit serious and this happens?"
Amou sitting nearby only shifted in her position ever so slightly, the girl was certain that Samuel wouldn't be losing here, it was a bit taxing to see him hit but not enough, she had confidence in Samuel.
That and..... she was too busy staring at the mus-.. *ehem* expert display of martial arts.
"And what happens?" Samuel asked rhetorically, rubbing his jaw as he stood up to his feet, Spec's eyes widening in surprise as he did.
A bruise, an injury, a broken jaw, at least one of those things should've been present on Samuel, "How?" Yet he appeared completely unharmed.
Samuel sneered, "I'm just built different." It appeared that even in the midst of combat, his quirky personality didn't wane in the slightest were he to not make it 'wane'.
'Imagine so much skill issue you can't even regenerate.' Echidna's use of modern language was something that killed Samuel inside so she used it on purpose.
Samuel ignored the Witch's words and slightly lowered his body, holding up his left hand horizontally and pulling back his right, the fingers moved in a way that they imitated claws and then, with a kick to the ground, he shot at Spec.
The older man reacted quickly, and grabbing the hand to the front, he tried to slam Samuel into the ground only for Samuel to spin, and, breaking his own arm in the process, slash at the man's face, followed by a round diagonal kick to Spec's back before landing on his two feet right behind him.
Blood spurted as Spec's eyes widened in shock, wasn't the boy just using his hands?
Samuel chuckled at his confusion, each of the swings that had gone unblocked had made slash wounds, almost as if a sword had struck those places.
"....." Amou sneered at what had happened, Takemikazuchi was a technique and form that by all means should've been impossible to pull off, but once a person did, their body itself was a sword. From their legs to their hands, everything would damage the opponent like a sword strike.
Samuel's pale skin now had blood splattered over it in some places, obviously not his own considering this time there was nothing stopping him from simply regenerating the damage....though, the rate was so damn high that it rightly looked like he had taken no damage in the first place.
Spec clenched his fist and smashed it down on Samuel's head, if there was no competition in strength, then he far outclassed him in terms of speed, having swam from Florida to Tokyo all in one night.
His blow didn't even leave an afterimage, the ground under them cracked and Samuel's eyes widened in surprise, as did his opponent's.
It is to be noted that Auto-Counter was not a conscious thing. It could be consciously inhibited yes but at it's core, it was the body reacting before the mind could even process what had happened.
Samuel's hand was now firmly lodged in Spec's stomach, what had shocked him wasn't the fact that he'd managed to react. It was the speed of the attack itself, how was that even possible?
Nonetheless, he didn't have time for such musings, turning to face the other direction, he groaned pulling his lodged hand out vertically.
"No... Oi, boy! Stop!"
Spec's eyes widened in shock, he was fighting no martial artists, he was fighting an actual fighter. Someone who understood that whatever goes in a fight, that a fight doesn't end until a person is dead. His strength, which had initially managed to affect Samuel, did nothing to stop the silver haired teenager now.
Spec rained blow after blow, at speeds that one could not see with the naked eye, blows that had cracked the marvel of architecture called the Statue of Liberty, did nothing as Samuel gave out a slightly louder groan, ripping out his arm.
Blood sprayed like a fountain as flesh was ripped out.
How did this happen one might wonder?
Spec clearly outclassed Samuel in both strength (having broken the statue of liberty) and speed (having swum from Florida to Tokyo in one night).
The sole reason he'd lost was,
'He hit you at full power, your body adapted to his full strength then and there, rebuilding itself. You hold unimaginable potential my dear contractor.'
Yes it was as simple as that, with one hit, his body adapted and he got stronger with said adaptation as well. (A/N: Fuck nerfs lmao.)
Samuel's physical strength jumped by leaps and bounds right then and there, allowing him to pull off something like this.
"Boy." Spec spoke seriously, touching his bleeding wound with slight surprise and amazement in his eyes, he didn't imagine there was someone that could beat him so.... one-sidedly.
"Hit me with your best." Samuel was now calm again, his pupils had regained their clarity and his breathing too had returned to normal. It was an exciting fight for however long it lasted but now, now he simply had nothing more to excite him in it.
'That's gonna become a common occurrence at the rate you're going.' Echidna huffed, he was just way too powerful at the moment. Not in terms of raw power, gods no, so many existences and people outclassed him in that aspect that it wasn't even funny.
Only problem was, with adaptation almost always came an increase in power, and fighting people that outclassed him increased his prowess by leaps and bounds.
Spec raised both of his hands, just slightly above his head, his pupils turned white and the air seemed to twist and turn from the oppressive and dangerous aura leaking out of him.
At long last, he'd found an opponent that could stand a chance against him.
