LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
D'LACEY' S GARDEN RESTAURANT
After a 20minutes drive, Lilia drove into the parking lot of D'Lacey's garden restaurant followed by Albert's car. She parked some few meters away from a black 4x4 Jeep while Albert pulled over beside hers.
She loosed her seat belt and leaned back on the seat with closed eyes, spacing out, forgetting her purpose over there.
Drawn by a tap on the right side of her window's glass, she slowly turned to find out who was groused on invading her privacy without decency only to find Albert beaming with smiles.
Rolling down the glass, Lilia cried, " Oh, I'm so sorry....Such bad manners I got here. please forgive me "
" Never mind dear ", said Albert.
" Shall we go in now"
" Sure"
" Alright, let me help you ", uttered Albert as he quickly opened the door for Lilia like the gentleman he was.
Lilia starred at his charming green eyes and round_heart shaped face coupled with a cute chin and a well_built muscles as she gorgeously stepped down from the car admiring his perfect physic.
"Just my type of guy ", she whispered underneath her breath with a faint smile.
" Thank You "
" Most welcome dear. Let's get in ", said Albert lending his arm. She smiled with a nod and wrapped her hand around his arm. They giggled and glided off.
AIMS' OFFICE
Aimscious kept calling Lilia's line without answer. She dialed for the last time but had the same response " NOT ANSWERED. KINDLY LEAVE A VOICE NOTE".
She sighed helpless, worried. " Hey, is me, Aims. I've been calling for awhile now but no answer. Hope you're okay. Kindly get back to me after receiving this message ,thanks".
She left a message and nervously dropped the phone on her desk.
" Where are you, Li and why ain't you answering your calls. Hope she's alright ", muttered Aimscious.
" Oh, let me try her Line account. She might be online "
She quickly picked the phone, surfing through. Just then her attention was drawn to the door by a knock.
" Yes, come in ", called Aims.
Aimscious kept calling Lilia's line without answer. She dialed for the last time but had the same response " NOT ANSWERED. KINDLY LEAVE A VOICE NOTE".
She sighed helpless, worried. " Hey, is me, Aims. I've been calling for awhile now but no answer. Hope you're okay. Kindly get back to me after receiving this message ,thanks".
She left a message and nervously dropped the , busily scanning her through her phone.
" Good afternoon, ma'am. I'm here to pick you up", a familiar voice interrupted.
Stunned by the voice, she hurriedly looked up from the phone towards the voice to justify her guess.
" Mart? Honey!? Wow, such a surprise ", she cried cheerfully.
" Yeah, I know , right(laughs)".
They, hugged and he kissed her.
" What happened? Why are you here so early today? Won't you be working late?", asked Aims, concerned.
" Uhm.... kind of. But I got a good news for you, guess"
" Hey, hell no(giggles) You know I'm not good at guessing. Come on, just tell me", cried Aims.
" Just give it a try "
" No..... Please, come on, let the cat out of the bag already "
" Alright, alright. I got promoted at work today. And I want to celebrate this with my family that's why I'm here."
She exclaimed cheerful and hugged him.
" Oh, my God....Mart. I'm so happy for you. Congratulations, honey. This really calls for a celebration".
" Yeah, hurry now. I left the kids all alone in the car. Let's get going"
" Alright, honey. I'm coming. Let's me put my documents together and sign out. "
" Okay, dear. I'll be waiting outside with the kids. Alright? "
She nodded with a smile. Mart kissed her on the forehead and strolled out.
D' LACEY'S RESTAURANT
Lilia and Albert settled at the table by the window. They laughed and chat happily as if they've known each other for long.
Suddenly, there was silence at their table. They gazed at each other with locked eyes, admiring each other.
" Huh, huh, Uhmm, about what happened earlier on. If you're not offended with me asking. What happened? Why were you crying? What you did was very dangerous. Why risk your life like that?", Albert broke the silence.
" Uhmm,( sighs) You, wouldn't understand, dear. It's a long story ", answered Lilia, looking so sad and devastated.
He starred at her and took her hand in his.
" Try, me , honey. I'm ready to listen, huh? I won't judge you for what you've been through in the past. I'll be here for you, trust me ".
She looked up at him and nodded with a smile.
