A Taste of Heaven

He's perfect as one can never be. You've had encounters with him here and there, but he wouldn't dare spare a glace at you. You've always wondered what created such hatred in him for you. However, he's only one kill away from never daring to take his eyes off you. Which you think is an only cure to your undying love for him.

"Stop asking questions," He's now much more frustrated,

"Okay, one more question,"

"No,"

"Just one?"

"I said no, y/n"

You try to give him the best pleading eyes you got. He gives you a weird look and says, "I won't answer it if it's something I don't feel like answering. Ask,"

"Are you the reason my parents are dead?" You ask in a much quieter voice,

"Yes," Simple,

Now the question you really want an answer to, "Why?"

"You said one question. That's two questions," He is now laying on the ground with his hands behind his head looking up at you while you stand awkwardly staring down at him,

"Come on," more pleading eyes might get him to talk,

"Stop doing that," Maybe not "I don't like it,"

"I'll keep doing that if you don't tell me,"

He gets up as if he's about to walk away. He stops and tilts his head at you, "They weren't good people,"

You agree.

You stop yourself from asking what they did to him. The last thing you need is to make a bad first impression.

"You should get out of here. It's not too safe. I can stop my guys but not the others,"

The others? There are others?

"I'm sorry, others?"

"I hope I don't see you around here again, y/n," He finally moves his frozen legs and walks away smiling.

You get home after a long boring time at the beach. Even though he told you to go home, you couldn't get yourself to go back. That beach is your second home and you can't imagine anything bad happening to you there as you feel the safest there.

You're still not used to the quiet home. It was always either arguing or physically fighting. The fact that your mom was just as strong as your dad absolutely didn't help the situation either.

You think now is probably a good time to report them missing so you grab the phone and prepare yourself for the best act you can muster.

"911 what's your emergency?"

Here goes nothing...

There are police cars around your house, investigators inside the house looking around and asking just too many questions.

You think you understand now why Hoseok must've been annoyed by your questions.

"You said the last time you saw them was last night before you went to sleep,"

"Yes," you answer, however you're dreading to ask why he's repeating the question so many times,

"Exactly where were you today and what were you doing?"

You're not such a good liar,

"I woke up this morning and didn't find them so I just assumed they were either asleep or away somewhere. I didn't really look much into it because they always do that. I went to a friend's and stayed there all day and came back to an empty house. I tried to call them and look for them everywhere they might've gone, but they're not there,"

Shit, you don't have friends.

He doesn't look much into that imaginary "friend" of yours, instead he continues on with his tiring questions.

When will this be over?

When they're finally gone and your house is quiet and peaceful again, you lay on the couch thinking of your conversation with Hoseok. You smile a little to yourself and close your eyes hoping to fall asleep. Maybe dream of him. It's sickening how obsessed you are with him.

You wake up to a dark house, where the only light visible is the moon peeping through your living room window.

Your stomach growls out of complete hunger. You haven't eaten anything since last night. You manage to get your lazy self off the couch and turn on the light. You go to the fridge and fish for something, a left over. You have no money, nor a job so the so little supplies you have will run out in a few days and if you want to survive, you need to figure out a solution before that. Maybe get a job? You've tried a couple of times before, planning on saving enough money to get away from your parents. You did not succeeded. You remember this small coffee shop that opened up a couple of days ago and you figure they might need a couple of employees if they don't have any already. You decide to check it out tomorrow and have the cold left over pasta from yesterday's lunch.

Although you slept for hours earlier, you go to sleep early, to wake up early in the morning to go to the beach and hopefully find Hoseok.

Just once and he has already become your favourite part of the day.
