Two of a Kind

*8 years later*

Makaila was sitting in the corner again. This was becoming a normal place for her to sit and it didn't bother her as much as the fact that her mother had left her here now for 30 minutes. It was the longest she had sat here to date.

She let her legs swing back and forth as she pulled at the strands of hair on her doll's head. She had a sinister expression upon her face as she listened to her mother crying over the phone to her father. "No...Mack this is worse than it has ever been. N..no. Please honey hurry home. Yes yes I spoke to the neighbors and apologized." There was a moment of pause as Makaila drowned her out, her fingers pulling tightly at the hair as her knuckles turned white. Her upper lip twitching as it scowled in thought. She hated everything about this moment. How dare her mother call this worse. She just didn't understand.

The doll's head snapped as she focused back on the conversation, her eyes staring unblinking to the corner of the floor ahead of her. "MACK THE ANIMAL IS DEAD! THATS NOT NORMAL! Okay, yes I'll keep her there until you get home." Makaila growled lowly at that comment, listening to the phone slam down in frustration. Her hand now clenched around the doll's body, squeezing whatever life could have possibly be in it. She didn't want to sit here any longer and it sounded like her mother wasn't going to grant her freedom any time soon.

The porcelain body of her doll shattered in her hand, slicing into her palm and fingers. She could hear the quick clicks of her mother's heels as she came over. Her voice was worried and panicked as she bent down with a towel in hand; wrapping it quickly around her hand as she let the porcelain pieces fall to the ground. "Makaila what did you do? You have to be careful. Look what you did to yourself."

Their eyes locked as the expression changed on Makaila's face. It was soft, pitiful and longing. Tears slowly formed in her eyes as her lips quivered at her. "Please mom, I just want out of the corner. Please..." For a moment her mother's face was soft as her hand reached out and stroked her cheek gently. Her lips shaped into a soft smile, sorrow etched into the corners. "Izzy darling, what you did was wrong and you need to stay here until your father comes home. I'm sorry."

The words cut in her like a knife. Her expression shifted from the mournful child to a dark and sinister gaze. She fell silent as she looked to her mother, taking in the serious tone she held with her. She tilted her head as if almost confused, her hand reaching down to the porcelain pieces unknowingly to her mother. Their gaze stayed locked as her darkened expression only became more sinister. Her mother's hand fell from her cheek as her eyes fell to despair; she knew this wasn't her child any more. "Mak..wait.....!!!!"

Her mother's eyes had fallen to the porcelain piece she had picked up, but her words fell into the silent air as Makaila lashed out, plunging the piece into her neck with a blood thirsty rage. Her mother's hand shot up to stop her, gasping as the blood filled her throat and started pouring down her collar. It didn't stop her rage though, her free hand clawed up at her face tearing at any flesh it could reach. Her mother's voice crying out with an awful gurgling sound behind it. "MAK...MAKAILA...STOP... AHHH!!!!"

Oh how the voice was symphony to her ears. It only brought more pleasure to her as the two toppled to the floor, her small body now on top. It was a frenzy of wild attacks as she used the piece to continue to pierce through her neck and chest; her other hand ripping at her skin and hair with the same ferocity. Blood splattered across her face and body; soon painting the walls and floor closest to her. Her wild expression only more haunting as delight shone across it. "YOU....JUST....DON'T...UNDERSTAND!!!!!" Between each word was a powerful thrust of rage as she beat into the now silent body.

It was only with sheer exhaustion that she finally ended her rampage. She huffed and heaved heavy breaths as she looked down at the bloodied body of what once was her mother. Her face contorted into a wide smile as manic laughter filled the room; her small hands lifting to the air as they ran over her face and smeared the blood that was already upon her. The laughter slowly died and was replaced with the soft sobbing of a lost child as she fully laid down on her mother's body and hugged her tight. "Mommy...please be ok. Mommy I'm sorry. I'm sorry mommy." Her tone was now an innocent child's; so soft, meek and tender. Tears ran down her cheek, only to mix with the crimson blood that lay beneath her.

*Several Hours Later*

Her father had returned only an hour after the blood bath; prying her from her mother's body and beating the girl for the attack. She was now strapped to a chair in the kitchen, howling and crying to be let out and screaming for her father. He only glared at her as he finally set the phone down. "I knew you were getting worse, but I didn't think it was this bad. You forced my hand darling."

He had called for a doctor, but the man that was there didn't look like any she had seen. He wore a nice suit and tie unlike the white coated ones she had seen, and nothing on him gave proof of him being a doctor. She let her violent crying and screaming subside as she tried to listen in on the conversation. "Has she had other outbursts like this one?...Oh?! How many? I see...and is she aware of them? Well electricity is truly the best way of handling this. No no...no trouble at all. Yes of course, right as rain."

The conversation was hard to hear and understand, but none of it was good from what she caught. She turned to look to the two, seeing them enter. She began to violently thrash in her chair, trying for escape as she cried out again. "Daddy!!!! PLEASE!!!" Tears streaked down her cheeks as she rocked the chair from side to side. The sound of her fathers hand across her face erupting into the room as her mouth fell open. She sat in shock looking to him, the red sting of his hand marked upon the right side of her. It was seconds as her expression completely changed and it turned to violence. Rage and hunger was now filling her eyes as she rocked and thrashed; the sound of the chair pounding into the floor echoing off the walls.

In all her rage she hadn't noticed the two other men who had come in, a straight jacket locked in their fingers. They grabbed at her, untying her from the chair and fighting to place the jacket on her. She flailed around, legs flinging into the air as she tried to kick at them. As her arms finally were wrapped tightly around her, she finally went limp. She knew there was no fighting this. She looked over to her father, eyes filled with hatred. He simply shook his head and turned away from her. "Take her away, and don't bring her back until that thing is under control." He stepped away leaving the room, the doctor giving her a sinister look as he nodded to the two other men.

They grabbed at her, lifting her from the ground as she kicked, screamed and thrashed in their arms. She wasn't going to down with a fight. Not now not ever. The doctor simple chuckled as they exited the home. "Seems this one will be fun boys."

Please be warned this chapter is very traumatic, gruesome, and violent.
