Chapter 63 Tournament Bracket B (2) Monster Tamer, List Iorum

*Narration*

Blood spluttered in the air as the crowd let out a collective gasp.

Tione eyes widened as she felt her blade penetrating flesh, and then she was thrown far by a blunt force which sent her slamming to the ground.

The Amazon shook her head to shake off the dizziness as she slowly got up, her eyes glaring in front as sweat trickled down her face. "Well... That's unexpected." She mutters as she takes her stance.

Her eyes traveled down Shakti's legs where she saw a dead hard armored, an armadillo like monster that could be found in the 11-12 floors in the dungeon, and at her side a silverback, holding a large wooden club. But that's not all.

Right in front of Tione stood Shakti, along with multiple monsters snarling and glaring at the Amazon. Shakti smiled as she twirled her spear. "Well I am a tamer after all..." as she said that all of the monsters around her roared loudly.

Monsters such as silverbacks, hard armored, hellhounds, firebirds, bad-bats, and lygerfangs. All totaling to a number of 25 monsters in total, with the majority of them being the hellhounds.

"I could have brought more... but I reckon this is enough." Shakti smiled as she said those words, hearing it, the crowd cheered loudly.

Loki who was at the VIP room stood up and started to complain. "Hey!!! What the hell!!! This should be a one on one match!!! She should be disqualified!!!" She wailed as she pointed towards Shakti.

"Afraid not." She was answered by Hermes who was smiling playfully. "Every arsenal the adventurers have is allowed... Shakti is a tamer, and her monsters are to be considered as her weapons. Therefore it is legal."

"Bullshit it is!!! The match is supposed to be one on one. How in the ever living shit is that one on one?" Loki spoke with utter annoyance clear in her voice.

"That's what you get when you laze around when we were discussing the rules." Hermes answered while shaking his head. "Fact of the matter is, what Shakti is doing is legal... But why are you worried? Tione can kill all of that monster with her eyes close."

"Naive as always Hermes." Freya was the one who answered gaining the look from everyone in the room. "Well I guess that's to be expected from a non-combatant such as yourself." she spoke while twirling the red wine on her glass as she kept her focus on the match.

Hermes shrug and sigh. "Well you got me there."

Loki pulled her attention back to the match as she watched with a bitter look on her face. As much as she wanted to argue about the legality of it, what was done was already done. She could only hope Tione can pull through.

Hermes was right, Tione could kill every monster in the stage in her sleep, hell even with both hands behind her back she could do it, but there were two factors that made the task difficult with her current predicament.

The first is that those monsters were trained, they were stronger than what they were inside the dungeon, and they can do basic formation and attack, follow basic commands. Still even with that they would still be no match for the Amazon. But the second factor is were things became tricky for Tione.

Shakti was among her attackers, Tione needs to be constantly vigilant about her, she has to guard incoming attacks from the monsters while also that of Shakti's. After all, the two of them are equally match.

Loki bit the nail on her thumb, as of right now, Tione was in a disadvantageous position, her only chance was to get rid of the monsters fast. But Shakti would probably not allow that.

Tione had her eyes peeled at Shakti as she commands her monsters to encircle the Amazon, she was surrounded on all sides. Excluding the hard armored she killed earlier there were 24 monsters in Shakti's command.

4 hard armoreds, 10 hellhounds, 5 silver backs, 2 firebirds, and 3 lygerfangs. She clicked her tongue as her eyes roam around.

All of the beast awaiting their master's command. They were growling and snarling at the amazon.

*Whistle* Shakti let out a whistle that was enhanced with mana for the sound to travel.

That was the signal they were waiting for, every monster charged in as if hungry beast ready to devour a meal.

Shakti joined the fray, she filled her legs with mana as she dug her feet to the ground, she rushed first, brandishing her spear towards the amazon.

Shakti was the one who arrived first, in a blink of an eyes she was in front of Tione, and without a seconds delay, she slammed her spear down towards the amazon.

Tione block the incoming strike with her dual kukri, and without delay she instigated a counter towards Shakti's abdomen, but her plan was twarted by a large club coming down her head.

Seeing this, Tione jump back to dodge, she didn't get any time to orient herself as 4 of the 10 hellhounds rushed at her with their fangs wide open.

She jump up dodging one twisting her body in the air, she delivered a slash to the other one but a spear blocked her attack. She suddenly felt a lot of heat coming from her left. She turned only to see 2 fire balls beaming at her direction.

Seeing that she couldn't dodge it, she loaded her body with mana as an azure glow radiates all throughout her body.

*Bo-BOOM!!!*

She was hit, it did little to know damage thanks to her mana but it was enough to push her back. As soon as she lands she was greeted by two lygerfangs all prepared to strike her down.

She turned to face them, but chills suddenly ran up her spine and her instincts screamed at her on the incoming danger, Shakti pounced at her at the right moment, coming behind her.

"Shit!" She cursed as she spun around to block the spear that was beaming straight at her, in doing so she was wide open for the two monsters.

Blocking the spear with her kukri, she felt a sharp pain behind her as the lygerfang's claw dug deep inside her flesh. This made her movement pause for a bit, a chance Shakti took as she twirled her spear hitting Tione with the back end of it straight to her chin from below.

The hit was solid as it made Tione's feet leave the ground, Shakti followed it up with a spartan kick right at the amazon's abdomen.

"Gwahh!!!" Tione lungs forcefully expelled the air inside it, she flew back and awaiting her were the 4 hard armoreds that were spinning rapidly towards her.

They all hit her on her spine, slamming her to the ground, she wasn't prepared for the hit which made it effective even with her level 5 body.

In her peripheral she saw Shakti, along with 2 lygerfangs charging at her, she didn't have time to catch her breath, she was getting battered by attacks coming left and right.

With gritted teeth, Tione pushed himself up quickly to face the onslaught that was Shakti and her monsters.

Shakti arrived along with her monsters and she began sending barrages of spear stabs towards the amazon, her monster aiding with the attack.

Left, right, center, every possible angle was covered. Tione chose to ignore the monsters, letting her mana defend their attacks while she focused on Shakti's spear.

She was able to have some success at blocking the barrage, but the monsters, like annoying flies didn't give her any space to counter.

'I have to get rid of them first.' She thought as she jumped back to create space away from Shakti, but 2 silverbacks were waiting for her with their club poise for an attack.

This time, Tione was ready for them, she was expecting it, with an extremely precise movement, she dodged the two clubs, and stabbed her two blades at them, straight through their skulls.

This was accompanied by two loud roars as the two silverbacks wailed in pain. Tione twisted her blade scraping the brain killing them right at that moment.

"2 down, 22 to go." Tione mumbled to herself as she turned back towards the tamer and her monsters.

Shakti seeing this clicked her tongue, she whistled another signal as her firebirds launched a barrage of flaming projectiles towards the amazon.

Tione skids back as she dodged, but the fire balls are the least of her worries. The 10 hellhounds group together and pounce right at her. Like wolves hunting their prey.

'I guess I have to use it then.' she made up her mind, if she wanted to get rid of this annoying monster problem she has to use her magic. Unfortunately for her, her magic required a long chant, doing it under the pressure of Shakti and her monsters is a task in and of itself.

"My desire that was sunk in the sea," she started chanting as she jumped up away from the jaws of the hellhounds. "my longing that was nurtured in the sea - the time has come."

Shakti heard it, she gave chase as she sent her monsters to attack Tione with even more ferocity. And like sharks smelling blood in the water, the monster did as they were ordered.

"Shape yourself, bare your fangs, and become a snake." Tione continued her chant as she dodged a hard armored ramming straight at her, as she did she slashed down cutting the monster in half. "Escape the sea, cross the land, and cover the world. Capture time, stop time, and trample over time." she rolled to the side to dodge multiple slashes from the claw of the lygerfangs.

Shakti arrived in front if her, she slashed her spear horizontally on which the amazon block, their weapon locking as the amazon pushed on with her strength, she could feel the monsters rushing at her from all sides... But she was done. Tione smirks. She was done with her chant.

Shakti eyes widened as she feels the mana rising out of Tione's body. An azure glow emanated from the amazon.

"LIST IORUM!!!"

Shakti jumps back, just in time as tendrils like whip rose up below from where she stood, she was lucky, but her monster weren't.

Every single one of her monsters that were on the ground were caught in Tione's magic, they were snared to the ground as the whip like tindrils wrap around their bodies.

The one that missed Shakti was grabbed by Tione, she then wrap it around her arm and tied her kukris at the end. With a smirk she twirled the magic around her as it spun with blinding speed. It was like a whip and its end are her kukris.

With a quick flail she killed 17 out of the remaining 21 monsters, their body turning to dust as their monster core were all that remains.

She killed 7 hellhounds, all 5 of the silverbacks, 3 hard armoreds, and 2 lygerfangs.

She smiled at what she had done, she then looked at Shakti. "Well... I guess it's my turn." she said as she twirld the magical whip all around, like a tornado of death she made her way towards the monster tamer.

The crowd was now in their feet as the fight draws to the climax.
