Have cake

"Daddy" called Joy as she looked at her Father.

"Yes princess?" asked Dom as he did not look off his laptop screen as he typed something.

"Can we call Mommy now?" asked Joy as she was very bored, she had been here in her Father's office, waiting for him to finish working, she was bored, there was nothing for her to do, and she did not want to do anything at all, all she wanted to do was to talk to her mommy, but her daddy did not seem to be listening to her, they had been here all afternoon, and now it was 1pm.

"Yes princess we can, just give me a moment, I need to finish typing out this memo" said Dom as he kept on typing as his fingers moved swiftly on the keyboard.

"Daddy, doesn't your secretary type out things for you?" asked Joy as she had seen her Father's secretary type a lot, and she asked her what she was typing, and she told her that she was typing out whatever her father needed for her to type.

"Well yes princess" said Dom as he laughed, his princess always asked funny questions.

"But my secretary is on her leave, she went on vacation for a few days to attend her sister's wedding" said Dom as he smiled.

"Oohh a wedding has cake right daddy?" asked Joy with stars in her eyes as Dom laughed and he shook his head, was cake the only think his daughter thought weddings were about? She reminded him of a certain little cake obsessed girl that he happened to have as a sibling.

"Yes princess, weddings have cake" said Dom as he laughed.

"Yayy" said Joy as she giggled.

"Princess, you do know that weddings aren't only about cake right?" asked Dom as he laughed.

"Yes I know daddy" said Joy as she nodded her head.

"Okay then tell me, what are weddings about?" asked Dom as he smiled and he kept on typing.

"Daddy, weddings are where people get married, and then there is dancing, and singing, and cake" said Joy as she giggled and Dom smiled.

"That's part of it princess" said Dom as he smiled.

"But weddings are much more than that, it's a commitment that you make to someone, to love them and cherish them for the rest of their lives, and of course, there is cake, and we take many pictures" said Dom as he laughed and Joy giggled.

"Daddy, do you and mommy have your wedding photos?" asked Joy as she smiled.

"Well yes princess, there is one in your Grandpappy's house and well, there is a wedding picture of me you your mommy upstairs in my room" replied Dom.

"Can I see it daddy?" asked Joy as she was curious, she had never seen her parents wedding pictures before, come to think of it, there were only pictures of her hung on the walls, and none of her parents together.

"Yes princess, of course you can, once I am done here, I will show you" said Dom as he smiled and Joy smiled as well.

"And I am… done" said Dom as he pressed enter and he saved the file as she smiled.

"Yayyy" said Joy as she jumped around.

"Now you have my full attention princess, and we can call your mommy" said Dom as he smiled and he closed his laptop as he stood up from his desk and he carried Joy as he walked to the couch and he put her on his lap as he brought out his phone from his pocket and he dialed Natasha's number as he gave Joy his phone, he could see how eager she was to speak to her mother.

Natasha walked into her room as she locked the door behind her, she had went to the cafeteria to get something to eat, so she ended up opting for some rice, which was something she knew well, she did not really know what those other foods were, and she did not want to take her chances.

Natasha placed her dinner on the small dining table when her phone suddenly rang and she removed it from her back pocket as she smiled and she happily picked up her call as she put her phone to her ear.

"Mommy!!" said Joy as Natasha's heart melted once she heard the happy voice, she sounded to happy to hear from her, and it made Natasha feel happy as well.

"My baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Hello mommy" said Joy as she giggled and Dom smiled at her.

"Hello my baby, how are you?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"I am good mommy, and how are you?" asked Joy as she smiled, she felt happy to hear her mother's voice again.

"I am good too my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Have you eaten yet mommy?" asked Joy as she giggled.

"Well no my baby, not yet, but I did just go and get my dinner" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Oooh what is it mommy?" asked Joy in curiosity.

"Well rice my baby" said Natasha as she smiled and Joy laughed.

"Have you had lunch yet my baby?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"No, not yet mommy" said Joy as she shook her head.

"And why not my baby?" asked Natasha.

"Well daddy was working, and I was waiting for him so we can have lunch together" said Joy as she looked at her father and Dom wondered why it seemed like she was reporting him?

"Is that so now?" asked Natasha.

"Yes mommy, I was so bored, Daddy works too much, tell him to stop working too much mommy" said Joy as she looked at her Father and Natasha could not help but laugh, was her baby reporting her father to her? It was the cutest thing that Natasha had heard in such a long time.

"Hey, hey, princess I said that I was sorry, why are you reporting me to your mommy?" asked Dom as Natasha laughed, she could hear his voice in the background.

"Well you always say sorry, but you do it again and you work all the time" said Joy as she pouted and she looked at Dom as Dom felt accused here.

"Princess, don't be like that" said Dom as he laughed and Natasha laughed.

"My baby, don't be so hard on your daddy, even though I do agree with you, he is a workaholic" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Mhmm, you see daddy, mommy agrees with me" said Joy as Dom felt like he was being ganged on here, just what did he do to deserve this??

"Alright, alright, fine Princess, I will make you a deal, I won't work so much, alright?" asked Dom as he smiled.

"Okay daddy, keep your promise" said Joy as she nodded her head.

"I will princess" said Dom as he smiled and Natasha could not help but laugh, at least her baby agreed with her.

"My baby, what are you going to each for lunch today?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"French fries mommy" said Joy as she giggled.

"Hmm that sounds very nice my baby" said Natasha as she smiled and Joy giggled.

"Save some for me my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay mommy I will" said Joy as she laughed.

"Baby, I am only joking, enjoy your lunch okay?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay mommy I will, and enjoy your dinner" said Joy as she smiled.

"Thank you my baby, I have to go now, it's getting late" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay mommy, I love you, and rest well" said Joy as she smiled.

"I love you to my baby, so much, thank you" said Natasha as she smiled and Joy giggled as she ended the call.

Natasha smiled, her baby was growing up too fast, she was already speaking like a big girl, the thought just warmed Natasha's heart.

"Alright princess, let's go have lunch" said Dom as he smiled and Joy gave him back his phone.

"Okay daddy" said Joy as she giggled and she nodded her head.

"And to make it up to you, we can go out to the park this evening" said Dom as he smiled.

"Yayyy daddy, really?" asked Joy as she giggled with her wide eyes.

"Yes princess really, I will take you to the park this evening" said Dom as he smiled.

"Yayyyy, okay daddy" said Joy as she giggled.

"So you are no longer upset with me?" asked Dom as he smiled.

"Okay yes daddy, I am not upset with you" said Joy as she giggled.

"Thank you princess" said Dom as he smiled and he gave Joy a kiss on her forehead as she giggled.

"Now let's go eat princess" said Dom as he carried Joy and he stood up as she giggled.

"Okay daddy" said Joy as she giggled, and Dom poked her nose.
