A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Choosing New Weapons

At around 7:35 am, the door opened, revealing Mr. Gluri.

"Good morning everyone, seems like you've all had a good rest." He smiled naturally, looking around the classroom, spending just a split second longer on Sam, Feil, and David.

'Send a message to Bennett Vale. Everyone's here, you can wake up now.' he ordered.

The message quickly reached Bennett, waking him up.

Everyone including Bennett stood up, "Good morning, professor."

Gluri placed the papers down, "From the combat exam I have given you, I apologize for not controlling my strength well. From the results, I have gotten permission from the vice-headmaster to change the curriculum for you all."

He saw a few hands raised, "Please let me finish before any questions are asked."

Seeing everyone was paying attention, except for the suspicious Bennett, he continued, "Since that means most of the schedule doesn't mean anything except for when school begins, we'll be going with the flow."

A portal opened up, "The other thing that won't change is the daily run warm-up, so everyone... go into the portal."

A few groans could be made, but there were also some excited noises as well.

As everyone's clothes changed as they enter the portal, they were back in the sandy colosseum.

The students immediately felt someone staring at them, urging... no, forcing them to run.

There were two groups of students, Feil, Hana, Sam, Elizebeth, Kyle, Bennett, and David, and the other students.

"What do you think we're going to do today?" Hana asked.

"I would assume the sub-classes? Like introducing us to blacksmithing, alchemy, and the like." Feil replied.

"Well... it's only the third day, so maybe we'll focus more on ourselves, weapons, spells, stuff like that." David spoke up.

"More sparring lessons..." Bennett groaned.

"I agree with his highness." Sam replied.

"I think David's prediction would be more accurate." Kyle said.

"I agree... with David's prediction... as well..." Elizebeth panted.

Although Gluri stopped them after the 25th lap around the colosseum, everyone was still sweating like crazy... except David, Sam, and Feil.

"Alright, seems like everyone is warmed up. We'll be doing... mostly the same as yesterday, except it won't be pure sparring. Since I've also gained some sort of understanding of your strengths, I'll be holding back quite a bit more." He snapped his fingers, and the student disappeared into another copy of the colosseum.

'Since it's able to draw a dupped title, might as well draw it now...' David clicked on the ticket.

Effects depend on Host's efforts, Minimum: 25x faster comprehension than regular geniuses.]

'Pfft. A chair? But that's quite a good title though...' David looked at the minimal comprehension speed and the text after it.

'Regular geniuses... wonder how fast they can comprehend things...' David closed the interface.

'... Mn... guess I'll just stick to at most three weapons then.' David nodded in a daze.

"Hey! You doing all right?" Gluri's voice woke him up.

"Ah! Sorry about that professor, I was just thinking about some stuff." David smiled.

"Alright then." Gluri nodded, throwing out a few weapons.

"Eh? What's... this for?" David looked at the small pile of weapons in front of him.

"Well... as a combatant, your quite competent and you're basically at the top of the class, so I wanted to see if you had any other preference in any other weapons other than the... oh so popular sword." Gluri shrugged.

"If you don't have any preferences, you can just pick up the sword on your right." He pointed.

Following the direction of the finger, David saw a shortsword stuck onto the ground.

He nodded, carefully looking at the weapons.

There were quite a number of weapons there, greatswords, bows, wizard staffs, wands, axes, tomes, gauntlets, stuff like that.

"Mr. Gluri, may I take a second weapon from this pile?" David looked up.

Gluri opened his eyes and took off his glasses, "Well... if you think that you're able to. If you do, I'll be much more strict so we can get a decent amount of experience for both weapons and your sword skills." He nodded at the end.

"That's fine with me. Do you have a... staff, but for... melee users?" David asked.

"You mean the bo-staff? I didn't think you would be interested in that." Gluri was surprised.

"Is that rare?" David furrowed his brows.

"Quite rare actually. I mean... compared to sharp metal that could decapitate even dragons... why care about a stick..." Gluri sighed.

"Um... my second weapon is a bow, but do you have a bo-staff?" David asked.

"Of course! Don't worry!... Ah. I'm not that good with a bow, but I can teach you the basics before giving you to a private tutor." Gluri smiled genuinely with some fire lit in his eyes.

David saw him going to the walls of the colosseum, so he picked up the bow in front of him.

The bow was quite simple, like those basic bows you would see in games, made of wood, about 3/5 of his size. There was also a small leather quiver carrying several arrows.

"Seems good enough, I hope this {Weapon Genius} title makes it easier for me." David smiled wryly.

David tapped the bow in front of him and used {Appraisal} to look at the background info of the bow.

'Meh... shouldn't have expected much from that anyway.' David deadpanned at the system's explanation.

"Welp, time to wait for Mr. Gluri to come back." David placed all the arrows into the quiver and set it down to the side with the training bow.
