“I heard about your nephew, Russell. You’ll be a magnificent role model for the boy. When I get to know him, if he’s comfortable with me, I’ll spend time with him. We’ll do fun things.” She chuckled and winked. “Then you and your handsome doctor can get some private time. Your relationship is still young, too.” She grinned and wiggled her eyebrows.
Russell walked over, wrapped her in a hug, and muttered, “Thank you can’t even begin to express how I feel.”
Denise sniffed, wiped her eyes, and said, “Mr. Sharpe would like a word. I think he’s in now. He wanted to see you first thing.”
