Chapter 25 - A Paladin's Prayer.

After Ace reaches enough distance away from the town he throws Muzan's body to the ground.

"How kind of you, Kibutsuji, to let me drag you all the way here without struggling..." Ace said.

His total energy right now is below 40% he is burning energy to increase his physical power plus the energy used by his passive detection.

Muzan slowly stands then said, "It doesn't matter, I already remember the scent of the girl, she will lead me to the demon slayers. I will take my time torturing them after I kill you here."

Ace and Muzan initiate melee combat with full strength, trees are getting destroyed every second pass.

Muzan's attacks are getting faster and faster making Ace received some damage even when he knows that the attack is coming.

But every time Ace received damage his power also increase thanks to Sacrifice skill making their fights increasingly destructive.

'I've been burning my energy add that with sacrifice and passive detection but he still can keep up,' Ace thought while blocking Muzan's sword then used his feet to trip Muzan but the mouth on Muzan's foot bit him.

Ace felt that Muzan injected him with some of his blood, 'Fuck this demon actually wants to turn me.'

Ace made some distant shoot some of his healing energy towards Muzan.

Muzan smiled and received the attack without dodging it.

*sizzle* *sizzle*

The energies seem to burn Muzan's skin but did not do much damage. The burned marks instantly heal.

Because of the energy in Ace's body, Muzan's blood quickly got purge.

"You really weird for a human..." Muzan said as he slowly walks towards Ace's direction, "You are getting stronger each time I injured you."

Muzan is highly resistant to Ace energy, unlike any other demon or moreover, he is developing resistance as the battle goes.

Muzan and Ace start to exchange attacks again as the ground crater getting bigger and bigger around them.

'20%, My energy is down to 20%, How is he able to increase his strength, does he have Sacrifice too?' Ace questioned in his mind.

"Don't think when you are battling me," Muzan said as he saw an opening and slash Ace's right arm then kicked him up.

While Ace is mid-air, Muzan jumps up then slashes his second arm.

"I'm going to enjoy taking your limbs pieces to pieces," Muzan said as he kicked Ace down to the trees.

The demon lord landed in front of armless Ace, "Done already? Get up...hey savior."

Muzan kicked Ace's head over and over.

'This is bad, I'm losing consciousness,' Ace thought but before he finally loses consciousness Muzan stops the kicking.

"Decide insect, Will you be a demon, or I will kill you now, Be gratefully I normally don't ask livestock this question," Muzan questioned as his hands return to normal with long nails.

"I want..." Ace trying to speak.

"Louder insect, oh you can't talk, I broke your jaw..." Muzan said as he delivers another kick to Ace's head.

Ace gathers his remaining energy and uses heal to fix his whole body, this will make him weaker because the Sacrifice skill effect will be removed.

Yellow-colored energy enveloped Ace's whole body then little by little his arms begin to grow.

Muzan is smiling while looking at a human that can regenerate as a demon, he is thinking to turn Ace into a demon then consume him.

Ace slowly stand up and said with hatred in his voice, " [Thirst for blood, Desire for battle, deliver me strength, grant me power. for I am inevitable, Prayer of War.]"
