Chapter Twenty-Three
The night was long and everyone had a different reaction to that effect. Unsurprisingly, Angel scoured through the darkness well. He loved the night. He could do anything undetected, and that felt like freedom to him. His mind was occupied with black ideas, the color of the night. He wondered how he would get the job done, impromptu, before daylight. And with how things were moving, he began to have doubts. Maybe, he should wait till daylight and maybe also watch the news. This could help him keep track of his targets. All this required some patience, and that he did not have. Night was his stage, and he played his part perfectly well and unseen. Daylight was another discrepancy in his fanciful life, and he could not fall prey to its seductive distractions.
