The sound of the door bell ringing had caught his attention, Adeline was happy when he let go of her hair and then he walked towards the door. 

She was finally able to breathe now, she had not realized that she had been holding her breath the entire time he was standing in front of her. Adeline looked at her knees and noticed that they were touching again, an habit she had formed whenever she was close to him. 

After taking deep breaths, Adeline was sure that she was okay, she looked towards the door and then she noticed that he was no longer there. He must have gone out while she was still recovering from having him so close. 

The sound of her tummy grumbling was a reminder that she was still hungry and so Adeline began to devour the soup. It didn't take her up to twenty minutes to finish the soup, considering the fact that she was hungry and also because who ever had made this did a very good job.
