Chapter 30: The Land of Water

Hinata stood in the doorway, watching Boruto with a concerned look as he hoisted his big black traveling bag onto his back. "Have you packed everything you need, Boruto?" she asked.

Boruto turned to face her, his expression confident and assured. "Yes, Kaa-san. I've got everything I need. Don't worry, I'll be fine," he replied.

Himawari, who had been standing behind Hinata, piped up, "Onii-chan, don't forget to buy me lots of souvenirs, okay?"

Boruto grinned and ruffled her hair. "Of course, Himawari. You're my cute little princess, I'll buy you all the souvenirs you want."

Hinata's expression softened as she watched the siblings interact. "Boruto, please be careful. This is your first time traveling so far away from home," she said, her voice tinged with worry.

Boruto saw the concern in her eyes and walked over to her, enveloping her in a tight hug. "Don't worry, Kaa-san. I promise I'll come back home safe and sound," he said, his voice filled with conviction.

Hinata patted his back, her eyes misty with tears. "Okay, Boruto. Be careful," she said softly as they separated.

Himawari, feeling left out, pouted. "Hey, what about me? I want a hug too," she said.

Boruto knelt down and hugged her tightly. "See you later, Himawari," he said.

"See you too, Onii-chan. Have a great day!" Himawari replied with a big smile.

Boruto grinned back at her before turning to leave the house, ready for his field trip to the Land of Water.

The morning sun shone down on the gates of Konoha as Boruto, Shino, and Anko waited for the other students to arrive. Boruto's eyes were fixed on Anko, who was looking at him with an amused expression.

"Why are you staring at me like that, Boruto?" Anko asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

Boruto's gaze didn't waver. "Are you using Transformation Jutsu?" he asked, his tone serious.

Anko's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "No, I'm not. Why do you ask?" she replied, her voice tinged with confusion.

Boruto's expression remained neutral. "Just curious," he said, before turning away.

As Anko walked away, Boruto's mind was racing. 'I still think this appearance is a fake one. Hmm, but let's see if I'm right or wrong,' he thought to himself, determined to keep an eye on Anko.

Soon, the rest of the students arrived, and the group set off towards the train that would take them to the port. Boruto walked alongside his classmates, his eyes scanning the crowd for any signs of danger.

As they boarded the ship and set sail towards the Land of Water, Boruto couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Boruto stood at the entrance of the hotel, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. As his classmates arrived one by one, he handed each of them a small stick with a seal attached to it.

"What is this for?" Shikadai asked, taking the stick from Boruto's outstretched hand.

"It's just a precaution," Boruto replied, his voice serious. "If you're ever in trouble, just break the seal, and I'll know to come and help you."

Shikadai nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. The Land of Water was known for its dangerous missions, and Boruto was taking no chances with the safety of his classmates.

As each of the students took their stick with a seal, they made their way to their respective rooms.

Once in their rooms, the students unpacked their belongings and settled in it.

As the ship sailed across the vast expanse of the ocean, Boruto stood at the edge of the deck, his eyes fixed on the water below. He wore nothing but his shorts rippling in the breeze.

Mitsuki approached him, his eyes wide with curiosity. "Boruto, what are you planning?" he asked, his voice laced with excitement.

Boruto turned to face him, a determined look on his face. "Training," he replied simply, before leaping off the deck and into the water below.

Mitsuki watched in awe as Boruto swam effortlessly through the waves, his body cutting through the water like a knife. "I know you're gonna train. Are you gonna swim?" Mitsuki asked, his eyes shining with anticipation.

"Of course," Boruto replied, his voice echoing across the water.

Shikadai rolled his eyes, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Mitsuki, forget about him. He's crazy," he said, his voice tinged with amusement. "If Metal wasn't seasick, he'd probably join in the craziness too."

Mitsuki laughed, his eyes shining with amusement. "You're probably right," he said, before turning to follow Shikadai away from the deck.

As Boruto swam alongside the ship, his eyes fixed on the horizon, Anko appeared at the rail, her eyes widening in surprise. "Boruto!" she called out, her voice tinged with concern.

But as she watched him swim with ease, her expression softened, and she let out a sigh of relief. "Boruto can handle himself," Shikadai said, his voice echoing across the deck as he and Mitsuki walked away, leaving Boruto to his training in the vast expanse of the ocean.

Late at night,

As Boruto continued his training outside, the mist began to grow thicker, swirling around him like a cloak. But he didn't let it deter him, his body moving with fluid grace as he pushed himself to his limits.

Inside the ship, the students were gathered in a huge room, their voices mingling together in a cacophony of sound. Some were playing games, while others chatted and laughed, their energy contagious.

Anko entered the room, her eyes scanning the crowd before settling on Shikadai. "Where is your field leader?" she asked, her voice echoing across the room.

Shikadai looked up, his eyes meeting hers. "Oh, he's still training. He should be outside on the deck," he replied, his voice calm and steady. "Also, Anko-sensei, you should let him do whatever he wants. He's the least person you need to worry about."

As the conversation between Anko and Shikadai continued, a figure appeared outside with Boruto. It was Iwabe, and he was staring at Boruto with a look of concern etched on his face.

"Yo, Iwabe, is there a question you want to ask?" Boruto said, wiping his sweat with a small towel.

Iwabe shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his eyes fixed on Boruto. "Are you not worried about the village that we're heading to?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Boruto shrugged, his eyes fixed on the horizon. "No," he said simply, before walking past Iwabe.

"Why not?" Iwabe asked, turning to face Boruto.

Boruto stopped and turned his head, his eyes meeting Iwabe's with a serious expression on his face. "Because no one there has the ability to hurt me," he said, his voice laced with confidence.

Iwabe gulped, taken aback by the intensity of Boruto's gaze. But then, just as quickly, Boruto's face softened, and he said, "Head inside, or you'll get cold."

Then the Land of Water came into view. The bright village seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, its beauty a stark contrast to the misty expanse of the ocean they had just traversed.

The Following Day,

The ship slowly came to a stop at the bustling port, and the students gathered together as Shino called for roll call.

"Okay, everyone, there will be a guide arriving here soon. So, please behave yourselves," Shino said in his usual calm voice.

As the students waited eagerly, a handsome young man suddenly appeared before them. The female students couldn't help but be drawn to his striking features, but only a few of them seemed to think Boruto was better looking. "Boruto is more handsome," one girl said. "Boruto is better because he has more muscle," another chimed in.

The girls continued to debate who was more attractive, but their discussion was interrupted as the newcomer introduced himself. "My name is Karatachi Kagura. I'll be your guide from today," he said with a smile.

Kagura walked over to Shino and shook his hand, saying, "Pleasure to meet you, Shino-san."

"The pleasure is mine," Shino replied politely.

Anko then turned to the students and said, "He's not older than you guys."

The girls who were swooning over Kagura looked surprised. "Really?" they asked in unison.

Kagura then turned his attention to Boruto, walking over to him and bowing respectfully. "I'm so happy to welcome the son of the Seventh Hokage, the legendary Uzumaki Naruto, and his classmates," he said.

Boruto nodded, his voice uncaring as he replied, "Thanks, I'm Boruto. But stop with the bowing, it's too much."

Kagura scratched the back of his head, looking slightly embarrassed. "I'm sorry," he said. "But you can call me Kagura, then, Boruto."

The group of students made their way into the Village of Mist, and as they walked, they entered into a dark cave. Suddenly, the water blocking the entrance opened up like a curtain, revealing a beautiful view. The students were in awe, and even Boruto couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Walking beside Anko, he watched as the other students began to explore and take pictures.

"I've heard stories, but this is amazing," Anko said with a smile.

Boruto kept a watchful eye on the students, noticing that some of the girls were especially interested in Kagura. However, his attention was soon drawn to Iwabe, who had entered an alleyway and created a Shadow Clone. Without hesitation, Boruto followed Iwabe into the alleyway. Kagura saw Boruto and Iwabe leave, but he continued to smile and chat with the girls.

However, not all of the students were interested in Kagura's charm. Enko, Tsuru, Sumire, Sarada, and Chocho remained uninterested and stayed behind. As Boruto caught up to Iwabe, he asked, "Where are you going?"

"It's not your problem where I go," Iwabe replied gruffly.

"It is my problem if you go missing. I'll be the one who gets lectured," Boruto retorted.

"Fine," Iwabe muttered, clearly unhappy with the situation.

As Boruto and Iwabe made their way down the alleyway, they were suddenly blocked by a tall, muscular man with shark-like teeth. His name was Onomichi Hassaku.

"Move, you fatass," Boruto said, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Hah? You're playing with fire, brat from Konoha," Hassaku growled, his fists clenched.

"What are you gonna do about it?" Boruto asked calmly, his eyes never leaving Hassaku's.

Without warning, Hassaku launched a massive punch at Boruto, but the young ninja caught it with ease. Boruto's grip was unyielding, and Hassaku struggled to pull his fist away.

"Let me show you some manners," Boruto said, his voice dripping with contempt. With a sudden burst of strength, he crushed Hassaku's fist, causing the man to cry out in pain.

Hassaku glared at Boruto with killing intent, his eyes burning with rage. He attempted to land another punch, but Boruto was too quick. With lightning-fast reflexes, he landed a powerful punch to Hassaku's face, sending the man flying and knocking him out cold. The force of the blow was so great that it destroyed the road beneath them.

"Do you really have to go that hard?" Iwabe sighed, questioning Boruto's aggressive actions.

"Yes, that guy has a punchable face," Boruto replied with determination.

Suddenly, someone from another alley clapped his hands, catching their attention. It was Hoshigaki Shizuma, who spoke up, "Amazing! It takes guts to do what you just did. For a Hokage's son, you did great, Uzumaki Boruto."

Boruto, not one to back down, retorted, "Are you trying to fight like this fatass?"

Shizuma, undeterred, appeared in front of Boruto, attempting to launch a sneak attack. However, Boruto swiftly struck Shizuma in the stomach, causing him to fall to his knees. Seizing the opportunity, Boruto grabbed Shizuma by the neck, tightening his grip.

"But what?" Boruto questioned, his eyes turning scarlet red. "You look like someone from the Kisame clan with those shark gills. How intriguing."

Shizuma, now frightened by the intense gaze before him, listened as Boruto whispered in his ear, "If you don't want to suffer the same fate as Uchiha Obito did to your previous Mizukage, I suggest you scram before I kill you."

With that, Boruto deactivated his Sharingan and released his grip on Shizuma's neck. He then added, "Take this guy away too."

Shizuma, visibly terrified, quickly picked up Hassaku and ran away as if he had seen a ghost.

Iwabe, stunned by the turn of events, couldn't help but ask Boruto, "What did you do?"

Boruto grinned and replied, "Nothing, just sending a little threat."
