chapter 1 Large man

unknown P.O.V

A very large man around ten feet tall is seen walking through the woods and in his hand is a large axe

'The damn little green ones won't stop pestering me. They keep talking about some prophecy that I don't have time for. I don't care about some prophecy when there's thousands of men coming into our home and destroying it. While the children chant about a stupid prophecy about a darkness that will destroy us all, i'll fight back against the real threat and make sure I have a home left.'

CRACK

The large man stooped where he was, readying his axe, turning and looking directly at a grove of bushes. For a split second time stooped, and then the large man charged, screaming as loud as he could

"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

And out of the bushes came three men, armored in nothing but leather, wielding bronze swords

The first man swung at the large mans torso but before he could land the blow, the large man knocked the pommel of his axe against the man's head knocking him out

The other two men seemed aware this large man was far more powerful than them, they realized this would be the end if they did not flee. So flee they did, unaware that the large man was no ordinary man

Bush men p.o.v

The men were out of breath, gasping for air, believing they escaped the large man

'I can't breathe.'

"WHO WAS THAT!"

"A better question boy would be what was that, I've adventured in these woods for almost all my life, Fought against the green children and the giants. I don't believe that's a man and he's to short for a giant."

"I don't care what he is I care about what we're gonna do about getting Yorn back"

"Your brothers dead, there isn't anything we can do, all we can do now is go back home and gather up as many men as we can and avenge your broth-"

"I WON'T LEAVE HIM THERE'S STILL A CHANCE HE'S ALIVE!!!"

The older man of the two who seemed more experienced and more level headed pulled the younger boy down

"Shhh, listen"

The boy seemed worried

"Don't tell me that giant man is back, we just ran across the forest it should be impossible for him to find us."

"No, it's something bigger, listen."

The boy listened for what the older man was hearing, and then he heard it, breathing, loud and heavy breathing

The man and the boy looked at each other, reading their weapons, but before they could charge they were stuck first

"AAHHHHH!!!!" a high pitched scream came from the boy seeing the older man attacked by what he could only describe as an enormous bear

"Father!!!"

Nothing was left of the old man, the father of the boy. The bear ripping him to shreds, then the enormous bear looked at the boy and lunged at him, jaws were the last thing the young boy saw.

Large man P.O.V

'Damn the invaders, damn them. They force my hand, no child should have to die, yet they would grow up like their fathers and continue to destroy my home. Now I have no clothes, I hate changing, I lose my senses and wonder sometimes, but I was lucky and stayed in control this time. If I change back and run into more of those men ill be naked and defenseless and if I'll have to change back, I'll have to stay like this till I return to my house.

There's a large brown bear beyond the size of any normal bear wandering through the forest

A cry echo's out across the forest

'Was That. No, they can't be that insane.'

"WAAAAHHH"

'keep going back to the house, if they see me, they'll try to kill me and then ill have to kill them, have to kill the baby. I wont kill a family then their child.'

"WAAAAAHHHH WAAAAAHHHH"

The bear sniffs the air

'all I smell is a single one, and they don't smell like one of the invaders, I guess I will investigate'

The large bear adventures to where he heard the crying and comes across something

'A child, and they don't look like those invaders with their dark hair, this one has bright hair like a burning fire, and its ears, there pointed. I've never seen an invader like this.'

The child begins to giggle and laugh at the giant bear hovering its head over her, oblivious to the fact the bear could end her life in a second yet the baby continues to laugh and try to reach the giant bear.

'what an odd little creature, I shouldn't be here though, its parents may return, then things may turn ugly.'

The bear began to walk away, and when the bear left, the baby started crying again, the bear stopped and turned its head, and then somehow the bear seemed to sigh.

unknown house

There's a large house surrounded by a stone wall in a forest with a few different buildings around it. The compound seemed like a farm. Inside the house we see a baby with hair like fire sitting in a basket on a table while a large man outside tends to his horses.
