Firstborn exploded into nothingness. Flesh and blood spurted around as a powerful force radiating black light took advantage of the flow, whistled out, and instantly penetrated into the cloud, disappearing.
"Sure enough, it's his!" Stephen curled his lips.
The object that flew away should be the source of the Firstborn, right? Whether it is the nameless god or the destroyer of the soul, the Firstborn is undoubtedly a genuine threat even without the source of Divinity.
Based on past situations, killing the gods like Firstborn enables one to acquire their source and gain their divinity. However, the sources of other people either drifted away like Eris or were specified directly like Ares, but they did not fly away like the Firstborn.
It is clear that someone did not want people to inherit the source of the Firstborn!
"Am I right? Did the Wall of Origins use the Firstborn to destroy the old gods? After all, there are not many old gods left after the Firstborn." Stephen muttered as he looked at the Firstborn, who discovered and attacked Paradise Island.
The Firstborn suddenly deflated like a leaking balloon and gradually penetrated into the ground, disappearing.
"The big boss will automatically disappear after being defeated by the protagonist. It's so old-fashioned!" Stephen turned around while complaining. As soon as he turned around, he saw a pair of eyes that turned golden light and looked like a hybrid of own/human.
A woman in a shirt!
Her hand seemed to become like a bird's wings, and with the baby in her arms, she flew up instantly.
Fly... fly up?
Her sudden change caught Hera off guard. Seeing that the girl in the shirt was about to fly away, Stephen waved a fire from his hand and hit her back.
The girl in the shirt fell directly from the air with a grunt and turned her body into a cannonball shape, hitting the ground heavily in mid-air. (Boom!)
The girl in the shirt fell directly to the ground. Diana and the others didn't react for a while. She slowly got up while holding the baby in her hands and looked unharmed.
"What are you doing?" Owlgirl, the girl in the shirt, looked at Stephen and spoke in a very different voice than before.
"Wa...Athena?" Diana looked at the girl in the shirt in surprise. The voice was exactly the same as the one she had heard in her mind before. It was Athena's voice!
"She's Athena?" Stephen looked at the girl in the shirt unexpectedly. "Okay, it's a bit hidden deep!"
"Thank you, Diana, for helping my father return," Athena said to Diana.
"Father? Zeus?" Diana looked at the baby Zeke in her arms in surprise and said angrily. "You lied to me!"
"No, Diana, I was born in this human body a long time ago, and my divinity slept in her body until she gave birth. He..." Athena looked down at Zeke. "Since Zeus once gave birth to me, so I gave birth to him, let him return to the throne, and my mission will be completed."
"So... don't stop me!"
Athena said, raising her head to look at Stephen, who had approached them.
"What if I stop you? Can you stop me, or can this little kid stop me?" Stephen stood in front of Athena and stretched out his hand to stun the seemingly ignorant baby. "You're the one who woke Hippolyte up from her statue state, right? Then you should be able to change her back."
"I promised Diana that I would restore everyone on Paradise Island to their original state. So, if you change Hippolyte back, I will let Athena take you back to Mount Olympus and let you sit on the throne again. How about it?"
"Wow!"
The little baby didn't seem to understand and started crying.
"You have such an open mind, letting your daughter become a mortal, sleeping with her, and then giving birth to yourself. Do you think it's useful to pretend to be stupid? Hurry up and don't waste my time. If you don't agree, I will abolish your tools for your crime. And you won't be able to do your favorite thing after you grow up," Stephen said with a smile.
His cry abruptly stopped, and his eyes lit up with blue light like thunder. The next moment, Hippolyte recovered from her statue-like state.
"What an old pervert," Stephen chuckled dumbly, looking at the innocent baby with big eyes. "Good luck, and let's hope we never meet again!"
Athena stepped back and flew away with the baby in her arms. This time, Stephen didn't try to stop her. Everyone watched in silence as they disappeared into the night sky, unsure of what to say.
"That girl with the shirt is Athena, and Little Zeke is Zeus?" Stephen asked.
"Yeah," Diana confirmed.
"So, what was all of that about?" Stephen asked.
Hera's soft voice interrupted them, followed by a flash of lightning. She had returned to Mount Olympus. "It's all over now," she said.
Stephen chuckled. "These gods are so interesting!"
Queen Hera was jealous, and it seemed like she might have had a hand in the death of the Amazon warrior or Hippolyte's failure to return. Athena had slept with her own father and given birth to him. It was unimaginable!
Then there was Zeus, who Stephen couldn't help but think was an old fool. He had only submitted when threatened with the loss of his family's jewel.
"Olympus gods," Stephen said to Diana with a chuckle. "Since everything is resolved, I'm leaving."
"Leaving so soon?" Diana asked. "Why not stay until tomorrow?"
Hippolyte added, "Yes, you saved Paradise Island again, and you ended all of this chaos. Stay and let us express our gratitude!"
Stephen shook his head. "I'm not interested in staying and helping you clean up your mess more than necessary."
"Donna..." Diana responded softly.
"Let's go, girls!" Stephen waved his hand to beckon Lilah and Valentina, who had already separated from the Firestorm transformation, as they were about to return to the Disciple. Laurie had been obediently guarding the Disciple.
"And one last thing!" Seeing that Stephen was about to board the Disciple, Diana suddenly yelled and chased after him.
Stephen turned around.
Diana kissed him on the lips.
'Uh... Diana's behavior was a little unexpected,' Stephen thought.
After a while, the two separated.
Diana looked at Stephen. "Wait for me, for decades or a hundred years, I will find you, and then... challenge you!"
"Challenge me? Is this a pun? After all..." Looking at Diana, who had just turned back after speaking, Stephen touched the corner of his mouth, chuckled, and turned to the Disciple.
The next stop is the central city after the birth of The Flash!
