Chapter 168 Under the dim Starry Sky.

Bang! Boom!
Both's fist collided with each other, creating a sonic boom across the surrounding.
With a swift movement, Wonder Woman lunged forward, her bracelets deflecting an barrage of skilful punches and kicks from Stephen.
Stephen countered with a rhythmic flow of words, weaving a sonic boom that surrounded Wonder Woman.
Even with the boost of BGM and also having mastered the power of God of war, Diana still was not Stephen's opponent.
Seeing her fighting spirit was all time high that Stephen also became serious, but the battle ended in an instant.
"I'll surely defeat you sooner or later."
The defeat so quick which made her little frustrated. Even with so many years of training trying to catch up to him, it seemed that she hadn't even come close to decreasing the gap between them instead the gap have more and more increased.
But Diana wouldn't give up so easily. All the complexities of kindness and grievances, previously tangled in right and wrong, faded away. Her singular focus now was to defeat Stephen.
As for the reason behind it, that didn't matter.
"Let's go." Stephen said to Diana with a chuckle, flying back to disciple while holding Diana curvy waist. The next moment, they soared through the stary night sky and diapered into the clouds.
In a deserted place, the disciple gently descended. The surroundings were dark, with distant sounds of birds and insects making sounds.
Using his Vibe ability, Stephen sent Hal Jordan's body to a military base. He originally meant to hand it to Carol Ferris, Stephen had no time to think about it now. After dispatching Hal Jordan's body, Stephen took a camera and disembarked the disciple with Diana in hand.
They found themselves in an empty grassland, gently wind flowing, few strain of hair fall over her face, which she gently used her hand to tilted behind her ear.
"What are we going to do here?" Diana asked suspiciously.
"Duh, Watching a movie!" Stephen took a step forward with a chuckle, his palm opening slightly. The air condensed, and an ice wall appeared in the blink of an eye.
Diana eyed Stephen suspiciously. He smiled, took off a bracelet, and threw it. Before it landed, it transformed into a steel battle suit. He came forward and connecting the camera to the suit, Stephen had Gideon cast the content on the ice wall.
Stephen gently pulled Diana to sit on the grass.
Under the dim starry sky.
Side by side, they watched Diana's battle scene displayed on the ice wall. The exquisite scenes, combined with the passionate BGM, made Diana feel a bit embarrassed. In the picture, she appeared heroic and brave, the battle scenes more intricate and shocking than many blockbusters.
Stephen put his arm around her shoulders, and she gradually rested her head on his shoulder.
The atmosphere unexpectedly turned romantic.
"So, this is what it feels like watching myself fight," chuckled Diana, turning to look at Stephen. Coincidentally, Stephen looked down at her.
Their eyes met, like an invisible electric current colliding. Heartbeats quickened, blood raced, and a faint tingling sensation emerged.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The BGM echoed across the night sky, but all that could be heard was their rapid heartbeats, as if a deer was crashing more intensely. Suddenly, Diana raised her hand, hooked Stephen's neck, and rushed forward. Stephen fell to the ground, responding fiercely. It was as if a bonfire had been lit under the dim night sky, and even the temperature rose rapidly.
Under the night sky, on the grass, the BGM played on.
Another battle began, battle of passion. Dedicated to the heart and soul.
It looks like she want to make up for all the emotions she missed in the previous game.
For a long time.
The breeze rustled the grass, and the ice wall melted with bursts of coolness. Unknown insects whispered softly, and the men and women cuddling each other in the moonlight seemed to be part of a beautiful picture.
After what felt like an eternity, the sun gradually rose from the horizon, casting its golden glow upon the earth.
Diana and Stephen woke up, smiling at each other.
Stephen grinned and asked, "Again?"
Diana shook her head slightly. "I still have a job today."
"Antique merchant?" Stephen asked with a smile.
Diana was surprised. "How did you know? Wait, you saw me in the future? That's not fair!"
"I've been apart in this era. By the time you've resolved matters on Paradise Island, has Donna Troy been found?" Stephen smiled and shook his head. As he watched Diana lazily putting on her armor under the sun, he couldn't help but get up, hug her from behind, and kiss her.
"I haven't brushed my teeth yet," Diana stepped back and explained. "I also work as an antique dealer to find Donna. I haven't found her whereabouts for so long."\
"Why were you in Metropolis yesterday?" Stephen asked while putting on his clothes.
"To find someone!"
"A woman named Barbara Minerva, originally an employee of the museum. I rescued her before she was attacked. It turns out she stole something very dangerous from inside the Museum collection library during the recent attack—an artifact known as the God-killing blade possessed by the Cheetah goddess."
"The God-killing blade pierced her chest, turning her into a Cheetah. With the power, endurance, and speed of a cheetah, she's faster than me. Her claws and fangs are sharp, and those bitten by her become infected with the same half-human, half-leopard appearance. They lose their self-thinking and only seek to kill."
"She's dangerous. I need to find her as soon as possible," Diana explained with a stern look as she put on her armor.
"Leopard girl," Stephen recognized her as the classic villain of Wonder Woman. She had scratched The Flash while running, and her claws and fangs could pierce the skin of a Kryptonian.
"Do you need my help?" Stephen asked, holding up Diana's beautiful hair.
"No, just send me back to Metropolis," Diana said.
The two gathered their things and returned to Metropolis. On the way, Diana inquired about the identities of Superman, Batman, and The Flash, especially the Doomsday matter. Diana couldn't help but reprimand Stephen for a few words, but Stephen was in a good mood, so he didn't mind. He simply nodded in agreement.
"Let me down right here." Flying over Metropolis, Diana instructed Stephen.
The hatch opened, and Diana jumped straight down from midair.
Seeing her disappear from sight, Stephen simply autopiloted the disciple, allowing it to fly to Louise Lois's apartment. Louise Lois seemed to have stayed up all night, and she looked a little tired while talking on the phone. Spotting Stephen flying back to Louise, Lois spoke into the phone and hung up.
"You finally came back. Superman attacked the military base last night!"
