Grief

(Earth, right as the building blows up.)

"NO! ISKANDOR!" A man shouts, running out of his flying car towards the building. "No... You can't be dead..." He sobs, falling to the ground, ignoring the pain of glass shards piercing his skin. "I can't lose you, you're my only friend!" he continues to sob. Soon the authorities come and rudely shoo everyone away, giving a bullshit excuse as always.

"Fuck you! My friend is still in there!" He yells.

"No he's not, the building was empty." A random cop "explains".

"Bullshit! Do you know who I am? I fought you motherfuckers with Iskandor! You corrupt assholes only care about money and control!" He yells. One of the authorities shoots him in the foot.

"Back off before my finger twitches again!" The cop demands.

"Slug thrower, eh?" He responds, ignorant of the pain. He taps his glasses and a giant red and gold "bullet" approaches him, and encases him with armor. "Good luck getting through this!" He yells, punching the authorities, not caring about anything but revenge. A right hook hits the one closest to him, killing him instantly, then he shoots another with a slug thrower of his own, killing the other. "This is the part where you let me through." He says to the last one remaining.

The final authority shoots him, but every bullet fails to even leave a mark on the suit.

"Looks like I have to let myself in." He mutters, slapping the authority so hard he flies over a block away. "Damn Neo-Cops..." He mutters, walking to the building, digging his way to the 5th basement. After Several hours and more than several dozen Neo-Cops he finally reaches the 5th basement and finds the blown up generator. "No... impossible... I ran through every calculation with him... This couldn't have happened." He sobs, seeing the corpse of the friend he knew for 15 years, more than half his life. "I'll get avenge you... I promise, even if it kills me I will make them pay..."

***************

Several years later the world government was destroyed, not even a single atom remained. The one held responsible was dubbed "War Machine", the suit that was formerly red and gold had been through so many changes that not even Iskandor would be able to recognize it. Now it was completely black with an uncountable number of bloodstains, marking the killer. "I finally did it Iskandor, I avenged you." A man muttered, he was sitting in the corner of the bar, drinking more than what should be humanly possible.

"Ease off the drinks bud, I don't want to have a lawsuit on my hands." The bartender warns.

"It's not like there's a court to judge the case anymore, just give me your hardest liquor!" The man responded, with anger that had yet to die down after several years.

"Alright, here you go." The bartender sighs and gives him the whole bottle, used to his antics, afterall he appeared every Sunday at 5 PM and didn't leave till midnight.

"This is the strongest you have?" He replies after downing the entire bottle.

"Because of you I haven't been able to stock up on anything stronger." The bartender replies.

"Fine... what's my bill?" he asked.

"127.68 credits." The bartender replies.

"Keep the change." he replies, passing the bartender a 500 credit coin. He walked far into the distance and summoned the suit, he flew off the nearby cost until he reached an island far into the Pacific Ocean. He lands and leaves the suit in a wooden hut near the shore and heads towards the middle of the island. He reaches a grave marked:

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

When I see you again

Damn, who knew all the planes we flew

Good things we've been through

That I'll be standing right here

Talking to you about another path I

Know we loved to hit the road and laugh

But something told me that it wouldn't last

Had to switch up look at things different see the bigger picture

Those were the days hard work forever pays now I see you in a better place

How could we not talk about family when family's all that we got?

Everything I went through you were standing there by my side

And now you gonna be with me for the last ride

It's been a long day without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

We've come a long way from where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

When I see you again

First you both go out your way

And the vibe is feeling strong and what's

Small turn to a friendship, a friendship

Turn into a bond and that bond will never

Be broken and the love will never get lost

And when brotherhood come first then the line

Will never be crossed established it on our own

When that line had to be drawn and that line is what

We reach so remember me when I'm gone

How could we not talk about family when family's all that we got?

Everything I went through you were standing there by my side

And now you gonna be with me for the last ride

So let the light guide your way hold every memory

As you go and every road you take will always lead you home

It's been a long day without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

We've come a long way from where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

When I see you again" He sings. "I hope you hear this wherever you are..." He walks away from the grave and goes to the hut, only to see a small boat on the ocean. "Who could that be?" He asks himself. The boat reaches shore and a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, with a figure similar to Serena's.

"LEAVE, YOU AREN'T WELCOME HERE!" He yells.

"Just put this on his grave for me... I miss him too, I shouldn't have done what I did..."

"You're damn right about that." He says, taking the offerings from her. "How did you find me?" He asks.

"I knew you came to an island every Sunday after you left the bar... I just waited at the port and followed the direction you headed in." She replies.

"Alright... you can give the offerings yourself, you went out of your way and it's the least I can do... Even though I hate you..." He replies.

"At least you haven't killed me..." She mutters.

"I may hate you but I'm not that much of a monster..." He replies and leads her to the grave.

"Iskandor, if you hear this wherever you are... I'm sorry..." She says, placing a bundle of black roses and a letter on the grave. To their shock they disappear in a flash of light.

"What!" they exclaim.

"I think I drank too much..." He mumbles...

"I'm sober and I just saw the same thing..." She tells him.

"God... If you are really there, I apologize for not having faith, but please make sure Iskandor is in heaven or whatever equivalent you have!" He prays. "Ow..." He exclaims after being hit on the head.

"You proved god didn't exist on two separate occasions, so why are you praying!" She yells.

"Right, I should beg Satan, we never disproved his ex- OW!"

"For a genius you are really stupid..." She scolds.

Somehow the fighting of this put tears in my eyes... Hope you guys like the chapter!
