Mission impossible.

"Wake up sleepy head..." I woke up to the hit of a pillow on my head. Did she really have to wake me up that way?

"You still have a dare to do today you know?" The girl has never been serious. Right now I should be worried more about the workload which will be handed to me by Mr. Sam.

"I know... But right now I have to think about work first and apologizing to Mrs. Sam" I said pulling myself out of the bed. This girl doesn't sleep in her room recently and I think we have to change that if this is how she will be waking me up.

"Let me go shower in my room... don't forget to take the meds on the table... and please try to think about how to kiss Mr. Cedric, people think better when taking a shower bye... See you in ten minutes" Okay she wasn't expecting me to be done in ten minutes. I took the shower immediately and got dressed. I took my phone and then went to her room. She was doing her makeup, it looked good but I saw no need for it. Her natural face is much prettier and I don't even see the reason why she has to apply all those things on her face.

"I've never seen glowing skin like yours even when you have no makeup on... it's almost like you've been living in water" I chuckled at what she said.

"I guess it's because I've never used any makeup so my face is just used to the normality," I said immediately to evade the talk she was about to bring. Of course, my skin is clearer than any I've seen, and even the Asian beauty standards are nothing compared to mine, not that I'm trying to be proud or something but that's just how it is. My voice is different from the others, it's naturally on a lower tone and I love it that way.

"Up to now I still can't believe that that's your bare face... It feels like I'm looking at a different being a goddess maybe...too bad lots of people are jealous of you and maybe that's why no one likes you" she said doing her lipstick and then breathing in heavily. Yeah, that's true, almost no one likes me here and I'm good with it. They don't have to like me because I don't like them too.

We've been looking for Mr. Cedric since morning but we haven't spotted him anywhere. Mrs. Sam didn't even look at me today, let alone talk to me. I was happy because I got to choose what to do and I offered to help Jennie. Once bitten twice shy, a thing I learned from one of the books. Absolutely no mistake today.

" Are you sure he is still around?" I asked Jennie. It was time for our shift to end and he can't see him anywhere.

"Talk if the devil and he appears," Jennie said turning me to look at the entrance. This man's visuals were something else. Why was so insanely handsome? I'd compare him to the male mermen if I wasn't sure he was a human. He was in a black suit and a person was walking with him, behind him.

"That's his personal bodyguard, no one dares go near him when he is around" I was about it ask why he had a mermaid only to remember that he was a celebrity.

"Not even his fans can go near him," she said and pulled me. " Let's go change and be ready for an impossible mission.

Jennie had given me the directions to his office because she had something to do. She had also told me that I wouldn't be able to kiss him so there was no need for her to come. I got on the elevator with full confidence. He is just a mere human being right? I wish I can use a siren song but that feels like cheating.

"What are you doing here? " The harsh voice made me tremble. I looked up at the fierce-looking bodyguard who was looking at me harshly. I then realized that I was outside Mr. Cedric's hotel. Maybe I had been too caught up on how I would do the kiss.

"I'm sorry sir... I'm here to see Mr. Cedric... he's my friend... look here he is... " I said pointing at him. Maybe he had heard me speaking and had come to my rescue. Wait what? He ignored me and passed past me like he has never seen me at all. Okay, that's it. The bidygueafed smirked and then followed his boss. That was a little bit harsh but I'm not giving up.

I kept on following him but low-key. I'd pretend I was doing something just to find myself closer to him. If it was staying on guard the whole night then I can just trans night. He was far from me but because I was concentrating on him, I heard what he had told his bodyguard. He had just dismissed him and then carried a wine of glass and walked out of the building. I followed him to the beach, he sat in the exact same position where we were before. I wanted to go back but soneyjbg kept on pulling me to where he was and I let myself sit next to him.

"What do you want? You've been following me all day... " he said his eyes fixed on the ocean waters.

"I want to kiss you... " he looked at me. He thought I was joking and I could tell that.

"You are different you know?... You shouldn't joke like that... "he said sipping his wine. Who told him I was joking?

"I'm serious... " I said making a serious face. Maybe I had been too cool earlier that's why he thought I was joking. He sipped his wine again and then looked at me. For a moment I was lost in his eyes. Even the mermen didn't have such beautiful eyes.

"If I give you what you want you'll have to give me what I want too... "he said looking deep into my eyes. What's wrong with humans anyway? Do they have to trade everything?

"Yeah, sure no problem..... " What matters is that I get to kiss him right?

He cupped her unexpectedly and his mouth covered her's in a warm press. Her heart beat fast and her breath quickened as kissed her. Why was she feeling this way? She wasn't supposed to feel it right? She had thought that it would end up being a kiss with revelation. She had never done this and it gave her the urge to do more. She could have stopped him but she let him continue. She immediately realized what had happened once she felt his lips leave hers and she looked at him, astonished and with eyes wide open.

"Good night.. " she stood up immediately and ran back to the hotel. She had a mixture of emotions but above them all she was angry. So mad at herself because she let herself feel the way she was feeling with a human. She went to her room, but luckily Jennie wasn't there. She locked it immediately and headed to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. How could that happen? How could she feel that way with a human? That was not a good sign at all. She opened the tap to wash her face and lips but on touching the water it froze.
