A Start To A Legend

There are a lot of stories from the west that have never been told. The story goes that there was a lone ranger who roamed for years, this ranger wasn't normal. Some people say that we wear our own demons, this wasn't the case with me. I had made a deal with the devil to carry out his wishes and prey on the people he chose. I know what your thinking, a deal with the devil really? Well, you don't know my story or what happened. I'll tell my story up to where I am right now. It started when I was in my early 20's I had a run of bad luck, from people leaving me to fighting almost every day. Naturally, it landed me in prison with a bad reputation. The final straw that landed me in prison was murder, the woman I had thought I was in love with had chosen to lay with someone else. Me being a marshal at the time I knew it was illegal to kill someone in cold blood just because he slept with my beloved. but times were different then. so I chose to chase him down and kill him. I'm not going to go into the details because it isn't fully relevant. it did, however, cause her to finally leave me. Now being a Marshal excused me from a lot of things but not shooting a man in cold blood. My penalty was a death sentence.
