Chapter Two
➜ [Stratton Bar]
"Great. You broke her."
"Look Miss Brunette you were apart of this as much as I was a part of it, so you as well broke her."
"I know that dumpshit, I was just pointing out to you that you were also part of it."
"Nice save."
"Forget this." Katherine moved over to the drivers seat, "I'm gonna go check if she's okay, you can argue by yourself."
"You're the one who starts the arguments!"
Katherine exited through the drivers door and made her walk to the bar entrance. Cameron sighed with boredom since there was now nothing really to do, so he thought he might as well leave the Sienna and explore around the bar.
"While I'm at it, it's been like two weeks since I've used this. I remember seeing two aliens that I haven't used before." Cameron activated the omnitrix , "You know what.... I think I want BurnOut to be the first alien I turn into."
Cameron raised the dial and pressed the two side buttons thrice until he reached Burn Out, before he could slam his palm down, the Omnitrix switched the silhouette over to another alien. "What? That's weird." Cameron dialed the watch back to Burn Out's silhouette and slammed the dial into place.
Green bubbles guided the silver rings attached onto his body and built out a metal suit of armor that climbed up to his face where his two eyes conjoined into one singular green eye. The eyes glowed green then a green flash shined.
Cameron looked down at his long metallic fingers, "This thing can give me the wrong alien?! Aw man this is gonna suck." He said in his young adult robotic voice.
The alien floated up and searched around for something to do.
➜ [ Meanwhile ]
"Hey Marcy." Katherine approached her cousin who was sitting alone.
"Please leave me alone."
"I'm sorry about the arguing, but you have to understand that dumpshit irritates me a-"
"-I already understand that, your arguing is cute and I love it, but I'm not mad at that I'm mad at the fact you guys are arguing about the families, well not The Family since it's just your seperate families, but your arguing is making me think of The Family."
"...oh..."
"The entire point of this trip was so I could get away from the family, the only thing they talk about nowadays is the wedding and how they hate your father for what he did."
"It's like that also when I visit grandma."
"It's irritating. I just want us to speak about normal family stuff, but apparently that's difficult for them and I hate that.... But I can't do anything about.... You should go.... I'll be with you guys in a sec..."
"Yeah."
Katherine slowly made her away out of the bar, when she was fully out the guard slammed the door behind her. She sighed and continued on. "Maybe us arguing about this family thing is kinda stupid, we're on a road trip this is the perfect time to just ignore all issues and problems our families have coursed us and just enjoy ourselves."
She heard a buzzing sound resonate from the left of her, she turned and swung her palm in the direction of the sound. She then felt her palm hit against something. A small green light fell into the trash, "Gross. I can't be seen standing next to trash, what if my people see me and send an image of me to- I need to move."
Two men sneakily walked out of the bar and quickly made their way too the Sienna, by the time Katherine noticed them they had already started the Sienna.
Returning with Cameron, he was covered in trash and smelled like it as well. He made his way out from the back quickly catching sight of the men starting the vehicle. "Hey!" Cameron exclaimed gaining the men's attention. They hid their faces as they pulled up the Sienna's windows.
The vehicle started moving, Cameron tried chasing it down on foot, but the Sienna proved to be better and quicker so it left him in the dust. The light skinned dark skinned boy checked his Omnitrix and when he noticed it was red he groaned.
"Need a lift?" Katherine's voice sounded. Cameron turned around gazing directly at Katherine who was sitting on a bicycle like motorbike.
"Of course." Cameron ran forward and hopped onto the back.
The bikes wheels started charging up and with a 'whoosh' it raced forward after the Sienna.
"Hey Cameron...-"
"I know. I know. I figured it out, I also think arguing about this family thing is unnecessary and we shouldn't do it."
"No dumpshit, I was gonna say you smell like ass. You should shower after this."
"Riding a bike is more of Marcy thing, I didn't think you knew how."
"Lessons."
The men in the drivers seat clearly noticing that they were being followed by a bunch of teens started swerving the Sienna left and right making it hard for them to ride besides the car.
Katherine groaned turning the bike on to the other side of the road, the two or three cars that were driving in that direction had to quickly move closer to the left to avoid any accidents. She sped up and was somewhat closer to the Sienna. Katherine turned the bike back on to the main road and tried to move in close enough so Cameron could hold onto the door handle and pull the door of the Sienna open.
Before Cameron's fingers could touch the handle, the Sienna took a left turn into another street way. Cameron held on tightly as Katherine made a strong turn into the same street way. "What are those?" Katherine asked about the misformed flying bats.
"No way. You've got to be kidding me right now."
The bats started firing a ray of lasers at the Sienna damaging some of its exterior. The drivers of the Sienna tried to bump down the bats, but they flew up and fired more lasers at the vehicle. One of the men inside opened the window and revealed himself, but not his face since it was covered by his hoodie. He started firing at the bats, he was missing all his shots until a bat shot him in the arm then his aim instincts kicked in and he delivered a perfect shot that moved the bat.
The bat shook its head and was ready to follow after when it noticed the two teens on the bike, it released a weird squeal that called almost all of the other bats. When together they started firing at the bike. Katherine swerved to the left and swerved to the right all in an attempt to avoid the lasers which actually proved difficult since the bats were moving in closer.
One of the bats screeched into her ears coursing her to move the bike around aggressively, the other bat came in and shot the wheel of the bike knocking the children off road. The two were sent flying with the bike into the forest.
Katherine and Cameron rolled off the damaged bike and almost into a tree. Cameron picked himself up.
"Damnit we're screwed." Katherine picked herself up. "Those people are like miles away by now, and those bat stuff keep slowing us down."
Cameron sighs, "...If this is how our roadtrip is gonna be like then there will be no point in hiding it..." The dial rose up and Cameron pressed the buttons forward and backwards twice, "Just know... It's me..."
Note: The reason why I mentioned twice back and forth is because he presses the buttons so fast that he sometimes skips the alien he wants. It will be an apparent thing.
"Okay?"
Cameron slammed his palm onto the silhouette.
A green flash shined and 0verspeed sped out from the forest area with Katherine holding onto him tightly. She struggled to speak since they were moving so quickly. The alien dashed passed all the flying bats and dodged all their laser blasts.
The bats weren't able to keep up with the speed demon alien and soon lost sight of it. 0verspeed smirked while Katherine cheered.
"Now hold on tight. Things are about to get blurry."
Before Katherine could comment 0verspeed accelerated forward blurring everything in Katherine's view. She held on closing her eyes tightly as the alien went on forward.
Only about a minute or so passed and the Sienna was already in view. The alien pushed on faster to the point it was now in matching length with the Sienna. 0verspeed moved closer to the door of the Sienna and pulled its handle opening it. Katherine looked in the vehicle with wide eyes; nobody was present.
She then took a leap into the Sienna and moved over to the drivers seat where she stepped onto the peddle trying to stop the car. 0verspeed moved to the front of the vehicle and tried pushing it back.
After two minutes of pushing, the vehicle finally calmed down and stopped.
"Finally." Katherine jumped out of the Sienna. "That was heart pounding."
"Nah not really, I've been through worse honestly." 0verspeed voiced.
"Yeah, we need to speak about this whole alien thing of yours."
"It's a very unique story I will tell you that-"
A blast shot 0verspeed against the Sienna then onto the ground.
Marcy jumped off of a motorbike that formed into a block with green and black lines. "Get away from her!" The block turned into a hand blaster.
"What the Marcy?!"
"Wait it's me Cameron I swear!" The alien shuffled back.
"Likely story. Which sector did you come from? I've never seen your type of species before-"
"-He's telling the truth." Katherine spoke out. "Cam somehow turned into this alien creature with that wrist watch of his."
"Wait seriously? Wait you have a device that can transform you into any species of alien? Why did you not tell us? Why didn't your mother say-"
"-She doesn't know and it's a long reason why, but you also have some secrets. You spoke to me like a ravage alien attacking was old news for you."
Katherine shook her head. "Seems like you both have secrets to tell."
[ Moments Later ]
"You're kidding right?" Cameron raised a question.
"You turn into aliens, and that's what you don't believe." Katherine questioned.
"My beliefs are limited, once I was told about the Davenport family ghost, and to this day I still don't believe it."
"Yep. Our family were alien hunters or alien helpers that worked with the government. We obviously don't work with them anymore, but our family is still keeping the business alive."
"Explains why our entire family line is so fucked up." Katherine pointed out.
"Tell me about it." Marcy agreed, "We're told who to date and we're not allowed to marry anyone who wasn't chosen or who isn't part of the neighbouring families."
"All that to keep our family secret in the right hands."
"Also I'm pretty sure there's like some of you who aren't fully human, and don't worry, you two are okay. Both your mothers are human, same with your dads."
"And grandpa?" Cameron asked.
"Yeah, what about grandpa?"
"He's definitely human."
"No I mean, is he part of the business as well?"
"Of course he is. Grandpa was one of the best ones out there, sure he retired early, but damn."
"This roadtrip is gonna be so MUCH FUN!" Cameron exclaimed
Season 2, officially begins. I'll put it all on the plate right now and tell you that this Season might just be one of the most important ones throughout the entire series. I'm done with the chapters and this whole small roadtrip thing gave me so much room to build up stuff.
