"What does it say?" I ask growing impatient with the way his eyes darted all over the door from one inch to the other running his hands over and over and over again messily dragging across the jagged writing as if it would wipe and reveal something even more sinister underneath

He dropped his hand balling it into a small fist before stuffing it into his pocket "Why are trying to read this?"

"The reason is unimportant, tell me what it says"

"I won't tell you unless you answer me"

"That wasn't the deal! you took an Oath which sa.."

".. Which SAYS I will help you so long as we are fighting the same thing..." he gives me a deadpan look his eyes holding steady no sign of the searing pain that accompanies breaking an oath, Damn those semantics ".... also I remember clearly telling you that I don't trust you, so give me a reason to trust you a little more"
