Rev It

Inside an office, a muscular old man with gray hair, greenish-gray eyes, and numerous scars on his body wearing a three-piece suit could be seen scribbling on documents. When finishing the last paper on his desk, he sighed and sunk in his comfy chair.

This, was Go Gunhee. Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association.

"Surprisingly, I was able to finish all the work in one day. I've almost never been able to do that. Must be my lucky day."

By now the readers must've realized that something bad was going to happen.

And look who just came in, came through the doors.

"Chairman. We have news." A a handsome young man with slick orange hair, having only a single strand poking out and black eyes and wore a black tux walked in with a serious face.

"Bad ones I assume since you have that ominous aura around you." The orange haired man nodded. His name was Woo Jinchul and he was the Chief Inspector of the Korean Hunters Association's Surveillance Team.

Pulling out a document, he began reading its contents to the chairman. "We have found a new dungeon. This dungeon was measured to the upper C-rank."

Gunhee was in thought while massaging his mustache. "So the problem isn't the rank but where its located, right? Where is it?" Jinchul hesitated as he gulped with sweat flowing down his forehead.

"... near Jeju Island, sir."

The office room was instantly filled with magic power the moment the word 'Jeju' was uttered. The chairman released his pressure as the room was being pushed apart. The building they were on was being shaken making everyone panic and the S-rank hunters around Korea felt this power.

Jinchul who was bearing the full brunt of the pressure screamed was feeling fear as his sunglasses broke apart. "Chairman!" He screamed out with all his might just barely managing to hang on.

Realizing what he had done, he calmed down as the one chaotic power stopped. But despite that, his eyes were glowing yellow as the rage wasn't gone.

"Jeju island, huh. This isn't good at all."

Jinchul managed to get up and patted the dust on him. "You're right, sir. If the monsters break out then it will be really bad. The ants will be able to consume the monsters and will able to live longer. They'll grow stronger and stronger and if they are able to get out of the island-

"Thousands, no millions will die." Gunhee had a somber tone.

Seeing the anger, Jinchul was nervous. "...that's right. But thankfully it is only a C-rank gate and it seems that it hasn't been long since it appeared so this is good. But if something bad happens then we'd be in big trouble."

"And if the monsters that come out are aquatic or winged then the ants will be able to adapt faster. They'll be able to travel the ocean and come on the nearest land. Which is South Korea." Gunhee realized what this meant.

Just the thought of having hundreds of thousand of ants flying towards the mainland is something he would rather never think about. "Then I will inform the guilds, this information should be distributed to them. You may go Chief Inspector."

Jinchul bowed respectfully and left the room.

With himself alone, his face turned grim as he thought of the island. It was the island of nightmares for the Koreans. It brought great trouble to them as they failed multiple times.

The first time occurred in the dungeons they failed to clear it making it become a dungeon break. Then there were 3 more times that they raided the island with no success.

And worst, at the last time they lost an S-rank hunter Eunseok. That was the final straw to the Korean government as they gave up and hoped that the ants would slowly die away with no food.

Having the ants have an opportunity to cause more trouble was the last thing that he wanted. He will never let the Korean populace lose more people to that island if he could prevent it.

"Even if I die, I won't let it happen another time."

In the rainforest dungeon, a man with a red coat and white hair could be seen sitting on a dead giant corpse amongst many. In front of him was a campfire he made himself.

Roasting the piece of meat that he cooked, he took a bite of it but then his expression turned green. Dante spit out the meat he ate with absolute disgust.

"Peh! Peh. Monsters don't actually taste that good. Maybe Luffy is eating them to cover up his depression and fake his joy to his friends. Wow I don't know where that came from."

It had been a few days since he arrived to this world but not much had happened. The occasional encounter with monsters that he killed.

He had only gained 1 more achievement through all this time. It seemed that gaining one achievement was harder than he expected.

And the only reason he gained it was by hunting down these monsters.

[Achievement Unlocked: Hunt Down 50 monsters without getting critically injured.]

His reaction to this achievement was absolute laughter.

"'Without getting critically injured'? Didn't I get stabbed through the chest in the first hour I arrived here." Apparently, it evaluated himself as 'injured' and not as a normal human anymore.

But it was worth it, he had gained a weapon that he personally loved a lot. Taking out the weapon, one would be able to see its glorious strength.

It was a red sword that has a curved aspect to its blade. It had all the functional elements of its injection system exposed. Six large exhaust pipes are the most prominent feature, running along almost half the length of the back of the blade. The sword has an unusual guard in front of the grip which resembles a backwards basket hilt.

This was Nero's favorite weapon. {AN: Don't quote me on that. I don't actually know if it is or if its his revolver.}

[Item: Red Queen

Description: Made by that weird guy called Agnus. It is made from demon remains and has been heavily modified after its creation by Nico one of the best girl of the DMC franchise. It's been forged using human technology as reference. It has a chainsaw that will make its blade shred through the toughest of metal. Charging it more makes it more powerful.]

Now he could use the swordmaster style to its full strength.

"Too bad I can't use Nero's styles." He chuckled as he turned his attention to the forest. "Wouldn't you agree, little sapling."

Walking out of the forest was a centaur like monster as it had four legs and two arms. Its skin was brown and its head was wearing a white mask with red painting on it and had green leaves surrounding it. It wore armor around its lower half and arm guard and on its right hand was an axe made out of wood. Its eyes glowing red with no pupil within it and its teeth as sharp as swords.

"So it is you. The one who has been killing my brothers." The monsters voice was hoarse and deep. "A puny insect dares to come in our territory and threaten my rule!"

Dante jumped off the body and put the sword on his shoulder. "Sorry to break it to you, pal. But how can I threaten something that doesn't exist." Ivory appeared in his free hand. "After all, it was always mine."

The Centaur roared as his remaining army came out of the forest. "Kill him!" They all began charging at with their weapons in hand. Stabbing the sword on the ground, he turned the handle making a chainsaw like noise.

*VROOM!*

Dante was shooting all the monsters that were nearing him. They slowly perished but he knew it wasn't enough. When they began nearing him, he pulled out Red Queen from the ground and chopped these monsters into pieces.

If they were too big then he'd saw them in half with his swordmaster. Running through the hoard and killing all that could move. His trickster style to cut down the space between them. His injuries began widening but his concentration wasn't waning in any way.

Even the monsters that originally was full of confidence began hesitating as they saw him killing all of their comrades.

If they tried running, Dante would shoot them down with his gunslinger style on the spot not leaving a single one alive.

At the end, only he stood admist hundreds of dead body.

[Achievement Unlocked: Hundred Kills without fatal injuries.]

Dante began pulling out all of the weapons that were stuck into him as he looked at the notification.

[You've gained the item 'Nero's Headphones'.]

[Item: Nero's Headphones

Description: It's literally just headphones. Nothing special at all. Why did you think it would be important since Nero threw it away? But on the plus side, there is every single ost and music that DMC had ever made. The cannon ones, we don't talk about the others.]

Looking at the description, it was easily the worst reward he had ever received. Even the Dante Outfit was able to give him positive effects but this was just really bad. 'That is one disappointing item.' Dante thought.

"How! Impossible! You were stabbed so many times! How are you not dead yet?!" The Centaur yelled out. It was baffled but more than that, it was afraid of this monster.

He was stuck here for countless years and then suddenly in a cave that his people had already looked in. There came out a predator that hunted all of his people.

"You know." Dante walked towards him. "In a fight, with just us two. We would be pretty equal."

*VROOM!*

"That is if I was lacking these babies right here." Red Queen was now covered in green blood but the glowing red blade caused by the chainsaw looked even more menacing to the monster than before. "Well and my insane regen."

Then Dante did something unusual. He pulled out a pair of wireless headphones and wore them on his neck. "Alexa or whoever you are. Play 'Nero's BattleTheme' in DMC 4."

Playing the music, it felt quite fitting for what's to come. "This theme song last around 4 minutes. Let's see if I can beat you till then."

Hearing this, the boss monster became enraged. "You dare!" It closed the distance and swung his axe at him.

"I sure do." Dante said with a wide grin.

["^_(9^ 1§{€2£¥7$}8%->4@*#'6~'...\!?04@*#'6~'...\!?0]

*Clap!*

*Clap!*

"2 minutes and 18 seconds. Not bad at all." Dante said sarcastically as his foot was on the beaten boss monster. Its horns sliced off and its limbs cut. Its body sustaining massive injuries as it couldn't even stand up.

"*Grh!* I won't submit to a weak monster like you! You are as weak as humans are."

"Hm? Humans?" Now this piqued Dante's curiosity. He had never heard of humans until now. Not even when his father gave him memories and information was there ever been told the term human.

"That's right! The weak humans that we will kill and feast on their flesh."

"And why is that. Why do you want to eat humans?"

"Because there is a voice in our heads that tells us to-" Just before it could tell him, its face distorted as a glitch effect appeared on them. The monster stopped talking as its demeanor completely changed.

"Because they are weak." It said but Dante could tell. This wasn't spoken out of its free will. Something or someone intervened.

"I said why are you killing humans!" The monster began glitching violently.

"Hu-ma-weak-weak-voice-weak." The boss spoke in fragments. It was simply an incomprehensible mess now.

Getting no more useful information, Dante killed it with a slash splitting its head.

2 new windows popped up and although he should be happy. Seeing this wasn't good.

Someone did something to the monsters here. And only two groups of beings were capable of this.

The Rulers and Monarchs.

The Monarchs could of used the monsters as soldiers and didn't want them to reveal any information. Normally, this wouldn't be of much use of the Rulers could easily take that info but if Dante heard it correctly.

It was targeting humans. And humans would have no means to get that info from their heads and they were far too weak if this is the humans that he knew.

"Rulers. They don't have that good of a reason to have monsters attacking humans." Rulers were beings that were made to protect the natural order of the world. Whereas Monarchs wanted to destroy it. It wouldn't make much sense for them to attack another race without reason.

"Wait! That's it!" A sudden epiphany came into his mind. "Rulers controlled the forces captured from the Monarchs to manipulate them into battling humans.

The Rulers would be limited because they can't come down to our world without any consequences. Since they can't bring their army here to stop the Monarchs from coming down here then they must have wanted to have these monsters to help humanity grow! To fight off the Monarchs!" It was a stretch but it made sense. The Rulers would obviously not want any more destruction caused by Monarchs.

But his train of thought was interrupted. Something appeared. Without any sign! It was as if it just came into existence.

His senses were telling him. As a monster, that there was something that came to interrupt him.

"Is that... a portal?"
