She wanted to give her sister time and space to deal with her emotions. She could only assume it was hard to learn that her father died without being able to say the things she had longed to hear her entire life.
"Thank you, Jules." This time, it was her turn to hug her. "Thank you for telling me all this and giving me this." Her sister held the box tightly as she moved to her table.
"Go ahead. I won't be long." Kaely glanced at her before she returned her eyes to the box.
Jules wished she could say more, but she just walked away, exiting without another word. It was time to give her sister some space.
Then, she dabbed her eyes with the napkin in her bag, hoping she did not ruin her makeup. But who cared about how she looked? She just wished her sister had the closure she needed from her father.
"Hey, where have you been? We have been looking for you." Damon suddenly showed up in the corner. "Wow! Your dress is fantastic."
